That’s the spirit Trev !!when you go to the Guy “do” your going to have to do an “outside broadcast” to be replayed on the TNUK site because while I was quite amenable to accepting that a few 8potter Big J’s may have been built I am now having to have a re-think as in the absence of photographic proof and the comments of some of the posters that were directly involved at Guys I now seriously doubt that there were any 8 potter Big J’s ever built. Other than some “Garagista” fitting an 8LXB lump into a secondhand chassis,which of course is quite feasible.For instance,there was a local haulier near us that fitted a couple of D1000 units up with Leyland 600 engines ( and the engine stuck out proud from the back of the cab!!).Will this thread continue,of course it will,but there’s more of you and me and Larry and “H” than there are of those “Deciples” that have never ever seen one but never-the-less truly believe that such a motor existed.Cheers Dennis.

Well am I right in thinking that some photographic evidence will appear on TNUK, Regarding the old 8 potter fitted into the Big J, I have never seen a one all the years I have been in the haulage game, But having said this Im not saying that they were not fitted into the Big Js, So come on lads lets have some pictures so we can all relax & get P,ED & forget all about it Eh, Regards Larry.(PS I forgot to say on Malts Hic Hic,)

Aye Larry I was having a butchers at what looked liked a nice bottle of Rioja in Asda to-day which was a £tenner,the Boss caught up with me and told me to put it back eh! well it was worth a try!! When we go to the Canaries for the hols we only drink Spanish wine even though you can get more-or-less any kind of wine there now,when in Rome do as the Romans do eh! Cheers Dennis.

Well they did brew it on Hadrians wall near you Larry,I tried it once,thought it was a bit to sweet,well it was for me eh! Cheers Dennis.
Larry, Dennis, oh my goodness, what on earth are you drinking…Rioja…its like the oil that used to drip out of my BSA Golden Flash…if it was free, I still would never consume that lighter fuel…even less so the Donkey Urine that comes from Espagne…and the anti freeze diluted Red X that our Italian friends export…Castrol R in a glass case!!
And I will not mention the Antipodean “Bladder” wines that are transported in a sort of “super condom” to be bottled in Liverpool, High Wycombe, or other such unhealthy climes…and the same goes for the Californian" pee",…you should just see how the “Wet Backs” working in the vinyards treat the grapes…USA wine, bit like their lorries…all wind and …!!
Gentlemen, please treat your palette with care, drink only Bordeaux, you deserve it!
Im away to my Bollinger, (actually Im going inside to drink it…the rain is getting into my glass!
