So I was driving on a 30mph road, doing 30 mph ish (might have been around 28 mph) and I went through a set lights as they changed to amber, got flashed as I passed.
If I got flashed obviously my vehicle passed the line when lights had gotten to red, however it didn’t seem like that at time.
It was around 1am and I was the only car around for miles.
I’m annoyed at myself, I should have stopped it was a stupid mistake and bad judgement call I’ll learn from.
Anyway I’m expecting I’ll probably receive a NIP in the post soon.
I have just recently passed my Class 2 HGV and will be looking for work soon, how will 3 points on my licence affect my chances when I apply for positions ?
Is it worth my OH taking the hit for me, as driving is not her career?

You might want to delete this part of your post pretty quickly.
Bit late now that you quoted it
I’m happy to edit my quote for the OP. The problem is now you’ve quoted it too.
Dont worry about it
I’m hoping its a safety awareness course.
Back to my original questions, If I ended up carrying 3 points how you think it will harm employment ?
Looking at a lot of job adverts they say less than 6 points, it might be as bad as I thought.
Also I could go down the “Im unsure who the driver was route” I actually have other drivers named on my insurance and my car is often used by family members.
If anything it could just work as a delay tactic.
First, wait the 14 days to see if you will receive the NIP (notice of intended prosecution) which is sent to the registered keeper. It’s possible the camera activated but wasn’t active.
Also, the traffic commissioner has the power to suspend your vocational licence. As a new driver they could decide you aren’t fit to hold the entitlement. It’s an extreme measure but it has happened in the past - and yes, they can do this even if the offence happened In a car.
With regard perverting the course of justice or failing to identify the driver, the penalties for this are quite severe and a lot of police forces are now taking much more action against what used to be a common way of trying to avoid tickets.

According to the Senior Traffic Commissioners Statutory Document No6 - Vocational Driver Conduct they are only really interested in CU80, disqualification or speeding offences.
However, there is a chance that because there is a vocational category on your licence the DVLA will issue a warning letter on behalf of the TC - if you do get such a letter then be very careful in future as the next offence would be a trip to see a TC
if you don’t want to give it t your misses then you could always have sold your car to someone else last week…
theres a few kawalskis have bought used cars from our lot…pity your not a ltd company.
Back in the days when I was young and stupid,i got several SP30’s,a TS10,and a CD10. None of them affected my insurance very much. And that was in the 90’s when if you had penalty points for speeding you were a social menace.
Nowadays it’s almost impossible not to get points for something. As you say,a lot of job adverts allow you six. But it depends what the code is. Anything starting with D ie DD or DR are always a non-starter. Their insurance company won’t insure you.I wouldn’t think a TS would be a problem, but I’m guessing.
Don’t even think about you-know-what. if you get rumbled it can be porridge time.People did it in the old days and the government didn’t care who it was as long as they got the money. Nowadays it’s different.
When I get busted I always take it. I did the crime so I’ve gotta do the time.

I’ve looked at what the DD DR IN codes mean, all of them are way more serious than my offence.
I’ll take whatever comes from this while hoping for the best.

You know it makes sense. Assuming anything comes of it
not that anyone would think of wriggling out of a camera fine though it was rumored that someone i know just wriggled out of the latest 2 in the 1 month from the same van at the same spot.(hes not one to bother)…take car to auction.enter it using the name of someone you know with no licence, hence they couldnt have been driving it. .sell car .3 days later the cheques waiting to get lifted…take cheque to the auctions issuing bank and lift the cash showing the same i.d from the name of the person that entered it …take cash, and buy another car.repeat when required…when the nips come in,send them back with the name of the person you wish to nominate filled in.i.e mustafa notsopink from a address taken at random from your local kebab shop .i believe some drivers might do this but obviously they would be scorned from a great height from the populace on here…tsktsktsk
