Yet another lazy day, then? I’m surprised you bother to turn up at all.
Is that a Meteor in the background?

Couldn’t tell you what it is and I was only joking lol on Old Forest of Dean
Can’t beat the banter!
Yes it is a Gloster Meteor, they moved it a while ago to where it sits now…
Restoration project, Paul?
We could get lurpak to do the labouring- he seems to have plenty of time on his hands. Trouble is we would have to go with the original jet power- an 8LXB Gardner would never get it off the ground.
It was in quite a sorry state and has been for years, shifted from piller to post. So I expect that it will be a long term resto job. I doubt it would run very well on diesel…

Oh dear, you wouldn’t want to try pedalling that around with ten ton on the back in today’s traffic! It was probably the mutt’s when it was new.
Wheres the oil leaks I wished that I had looked under the bonnet of that ERF when I visited Richard Reads, maybe next time.
It can’t have been fired up since the last coat of aluminium paint went on!

I’ve worked on that Dodge and had the pleasure of cutting up that 4 in line trailor
For that you deserve the undying thanks of drivers everywhere

That’s for sure
I had the pleasure of cutting up most of Richard Reads 4 in line trailors.Every one I cut up brought back memories of the one with the burst inside tyre that I changed in the snow at Brierley
Did you cut up any of the Motor Panels cabs?
No tractors cut up by us,just that Richard Read invited me and my partner John Wooward to go to Longhope to rid him of those BTC,s. We did it before the auction there, mid 70,s.
RR had his head screwed on- he knew nobody would pay money for those bl**dy awful trailers and they would be better going for scrap!
