Chill out guys
I think there’s been a fundamental breakdown in communication - I was actually joking…
No matter - no real harm done.

that’s usually what happens
as afar as i know dt donald lost hazledene now doing mostly market work from what i heard on the local grapevine
D T Donalds or DD Donalds ? based just outside Rufford, Red and white units, but no Burscough address or tel No on them ? I’ m up at Len Wrights three nights a week and see them go past towards Hazledene so may still be doing work for them.
WCF, plain white Actros units and WCF on trailers, no address or tel No on them.
New lane, "run out of old Salvos yard Burscough ind est, Plain white Volvo’s , New lane across trailer, no address or tel No on them.
Brummie how would you know, your a Reality driver , and thought your wife didnt talk to you never mind give you grief
It’s D T Donald, and they are at Liverpool Old Road, Sollom, Tarleton. Different postcodes and dialling codes, hence no reference to Burscough.
W A Wright / New Lane Transport are not on the Industrial Estate… The old Salvo place was never their’s - they just ran in and out of it. The site (and the houses either side of the gate and offices) used to belong to the Gibbons family who ran Freshpack produce. It is on New Lane which is the other side of the industrial estate. I have family who live a few hundred yards away and it is a big problem for them to have lost drivers wandering up & down in the middle of the night (with fridge motors humming away) looking for the industrial estate and thinking they’ve found it when they get to Arthur’s.
The latest rentals don’t carry contact information, but there are some that still do. At one time they even had their URL and email address on them. Their official operating base is still on Drummersdale Lane at Scarisbrick, where the original W A Wright company was based in the seventies.
Zorba - which Wright’s yard are you at up here? Is it the one almost opposite Blackgate Lane on the main road, or the one on Moss Lane?
If it’s the one on the main road (with the Bernard Dickinson motors in it), that’s actually owned by Lund and Parkinson Haulage. Gordon S Fox Transport also had something to do with it at one time as well.

Thats the one" D T Donald" at the end of Liverpool old road, had another look yesterday, and the very same ex Salvos yard, first time i went there i didn’t think it would be down there either when i saw the weight restriction sign.
Len Wrights is actually a farm, its on Taylors Meenygate road, on the left as you head up to Moss lane and Hazeldene, Frank Harrison are their main transport people.
Right - now I know where you mean. I went past twice on Thursday morning.
Are you talking about Harrisons from Holmes (the other side of Hazledene Foods)? They run Scanias of various ages and models from an elderly 112 up to a 164-580 Topline. I seem to see them pulling either Fowler-Welch fridges or IBC tipping boxes for some reason.
I’m normally there on Tue, Thur and Sat mornings till about 09.30/10.00, just the two Bannister artics there, one on the bay and one waiting surrounded by Spanish, a rigid comes up there later ,I’m the one with the small Welsh scarf in the window.
I don’t know where Harrison’s yard is, but yes they do have a couple of old low cab Scanias and a high cab blue Volvo, plain white trailers no markings, Ive never seen them pulling a Fowler’s trailer though or tipping boxes.
Note for Brummie:- Not all firms have the name on the vehicles ie Harrison’s, not all firms always pull a trailer with their company name on it but do have another name instead ie Turners, not all ex Para,s learn too quick so go back to college and Dodge is not management
