Hi all very new to this and this is my first post. My dad drove for Fransen’s from about 86 and as most boys growing up with a lorry driver dad my six weeks holidays were spent travelling around Europe, anybody out there got any pics of there trucks especially M532 JVP or F441 YOG both daf 95’s spent many hrs in them.
I do have a few pics myself when i work out how to up-load lol

Spot on, thank you hope this works this is F441 top sleeper coming down the jubilee avenue in to dover with me dad at the wheel, he also used to keep his own trailer which was quiet unique as the fridge was under slung (in the middle of the trailer) think it had something to do with overall length but was easily caught, as he found out when it was a very low tide one night coming of the boat an smashed it to smithereens.

yeh i got it up stairs bout one of the drivers doing a load of hanging beef to Germany had a truck looked bit like this 
Fair play to fransens they always had smart trucks.
Here’s a couple more resent 1’s this time taken outside the yard in Kidderminster with the pulleyn/eft influenced livery
I seem to remember some of Fransen’s DAFs (space cabs?) with the company name in Cyrillic script
above the windscreen.I believe they were doing British Embassy supplies to Moscow,and possibly
other places within SU.

Yeh thats right they did the embassy’s and the western hotels and the such, there was a book published which followed one of there drivers (tony Meddings) to Moscow in a smart Strato called the Silver Night, I did have the pleasure of going in it but my dad only had it for a short while but it was a real posers truck Alloy Wheels, Red light inside leather seats the lot. I found this pic of it on a website that is from one of there ex drivers and his experiences driving a truck to Russia.
Hi I rber that book about the daf of fransens, it was great as a kid to see books like this in the local library, I don’t recall the drivers name but his t shirt. Said ‘mr shifter’ on it ha ha! Any one got any pics at all?

Peter dyke was the name of the driver, i am trying my best to past it on threw the generations too reading it to my kids, but all i get is “what’s that hanging in the trailer dad” thats beef but i thought beef come from Asda. if i can get my scanner working ill put some pics up 4 you.

Thank you, dont remeber any of the scania’s but recongnise that daf i sure that got re-painted in white, if you have any more feel free to post lol

dave, thay went to spain first but ran out off money, obviously she never stole enough. do you remember bob ware who had the farm shop just towards leominster, reg was his step son. used to park the daf there. also phil was from erdisland and worked for sun vally when they went across the water.
