I was under the impression that you Welsh lads had no “bottle” to go any higher than one trailer Andrew!!! Maybe they were just been stored and weren’t moved!!! Cheers Dennis.

hi dennis,
sadly in this case :frowning: ,the reason they were triple decked was the business had been wound up after many hard years and everything was decked, chained and strapped ready to go to the auction, summer 1985.

Taken at La Jonquera 1981.

MOC:
We had four Transcons on our small fleet and by far was the best ride, we all loved them :sunglasses: Heres some of them.

Superb pics MOC. Especially the 5th pic down of the red transcon and black the F88-290. Were they pulling parker plants ? I’m sure the transcons pulling a stone dryer and the F88 a stone screen.
That was the majority of my Grandads work from Parker Plant of Leicester. I posted a couple of pics on the Leicester bygones thread of my grandad leaving Parkers with a plant idential to the one the F88s pulling.

Hi There gunnerherskey , your dead right there,we done loads of them out of Parker Plant, down to Marseille docks for delivery to NorthAfrica, often there was 3 or 4 machines all had to go down in convoy with ■■■■■■ ,couldnt run on the auto routes because the bridge heights. Used to love them jobs as it was a easy run back solo after just winding the jocky wheels
down. The F88 was mine ,was brown though looks black .Will have a look at that other thread now 8 )cheers

Heres another Parker Plant pic gunnerheskey .Also the Stone screen your Grandad was pulling out of there yard is exactly the same type machine behind the Volvo ,Heres another smaller one
