There are a pair of nice matching Transcons on Kev Challos page. The P reg was a regular on the Greek job with me
Always well turned out…Ken Trowells Transcons carrying Milton pipes were a common sight in the 80s
I had this demo for a while…it went well but was so short it kicked you in the back worse than an 88.

hey flysheet
you got anymore pics or info about this motor, always wandered if a reno turboliner roof would fit on with it being more or less the same cab.
cheers
gazIF THIS IS REG EHJ706X IT’S PARKED UP IN A YARD JUST OF THE AI NORTH OF STEVENAGE.
Hi all, if it is EHJ 706 X i think i saw it in one of the classic commercial mags for sale. £4250 the price.
Hi flysheet, looking at some of those old pictures of EHJ 562 T stuck in the mud in Hungary reminded me that unless someone who owned it after me changed the rear axle then it still did’nt have any diff lock. I did meet someone who owned it at the bottom of the Blanc in Jan or Feb of 94 when there had been an avalanche up at the tunnel and we were all stuck at the Total services for a while even sat in the cab but I don’t remember his name. I was driving to Italy with a Daf 95 and low loader loaded with two six wheel ‘‘deuce and a half’’ military trucks working for the US Air Force, best company I ever worked for but the boss got into trouble for having an affair with his secretary (all over the tv something to do with a cigar).
regards Chazzer
Hi Chazzer,
It was without diff lock as far as I recall, It may have been me I’m sure I owned it in 94, I was known to partake in the odd electric woodbine so my memory is a tad shot but it most likely was me. I do remember being snowed in on the frejus a couple of days before christmas one year in it heading down to Greece though & the french snow ploughs kept piling snow on me all night I could’nt get out of the cab next morning bloody snow up to the windows!
Sounds like a good job you had their Fella pity about the bosses antics, I think I would have done the same myself though alls fair in love war & road haulage
