Foden Thoughts

This is still the way as you see it, a classic Foden Stroker when Fodens were Foden.

What was the difference between the 3000 and 4000 cabs as in the one above which looks like an ordinary 4000? To me, the 3000 was the narrow cab introduced during the recession of the early '90s…Smiths changed to buying them for this reason, and a slightly higher payload.

Well Nathan you have answered your own question! The 4000 cab was wider than the 3000 and that was it really, I had both but did prefer the wider cab personally.

Pete.

I bet that 325 6wheeler went well Dave; was it ■■■■■■■ powered?

I think it was Nathan.Clarence Griffiths had several ■■■■■■■ powered Fodens before they switched to Cat.
If you look at the previous pics of the F reg and G reg Fodens, you will see one is ■■■■■■■ and the other Cat powered.
Cheers Dave.

According to a badge on the doorframe of mine,it says Cat C12 325 but the badge says 345 and the manual says 345? Someone else reckoned our 400 Cats we just sold/are selling actually ran at 380■■ In comparisson to the Daf CF 360s, it’s certainly a 345 or even a 400 :sunglasses:

Sorry, could not find Dandy, so you will have to do with a Unicorn!

A fine Unicorn at that, fitted with Gardner 150, and survived long enough to be preserved. The epitome of classic transport :sunglasses:
