You wont ever see it pulling containers as M J Griffiths do fridge work, unless they when it gets sold on the future owner uses it for container transport.

Have you even watched the youtube clip?

The bosses son presumably. They always run good kit. Dare I say it, they must buck the trend and only work for good rates :bulb:

Nope, has no interest to me.

750 to pull a fridge… Stupid.

I delivered to there places years ago and the same lad is the bosses son, at the time he looked about 14  but showed his colours wen he backed on to the bay blindsided in an old 143, he didn’t even look old enough to drive a moped either, good on him for getting his license and good luck on the roads

The trailer sits very high at the front on it, would look better with a low profile 5th wheel and it would reduce the drag a bit more.

Handy when you have 26 pallets of spuds and then 26 pallets of soft fruit and veg on top, in a Ekeri trailer that weighs 10 ton plus…

Why stupid? They say they are getting 8.8mpg @ 44t just now and is expected to improve as it beds in fully. Its not going to cost them any more to run than something with less power and it should get the job done quicker. When it comes to selling the truck on after they have finished with it, they should get a good price back for it too. In its lifetime when you take into account buying it, running it and selling it, I dont think it will cost that much more than a 520bhp equivilant and its a good flagship for them.

I bet it will only get used once a day by the lad that drives it, he’s one luck 19 year old to get the first of a kind truck in britain with all that horsepower at that age, wish i was him tbh and it probably runs at full weight because apparently it does a london market?

Well let me inject a note of positivity in this very predictable array of comments-

Lovey looking machine, nice trailer too. Always liked the look of their trucks. I wish them and the lucky young man driving it all the best with it.

Theres a greyish coloured 750 pulling Mammoet tauts. But if thats an official VOLVO vid claiming to be the 1st then they must be. Also if I mind right there a SCANIA dominated company? STrange they went for a Volvo over the 730?

Maybe the attraction of having a first won them over

Thank you someone got the joke.

Honestly though, why you’d need any more than a 460 on that work is beyond me.
