26 tonne volvo six legger fridge wagon at first - lots of London stuff and some nights out going to the West Country and ooop North. Was told yesterdy to get my C+E ASAP and that I would be given a wagon immediately. Would then be basically tramping, which I am really looking forward to!! So; got to get it sorted now…no excuses!!

they own fruittex as well now, plus loads others, soham is miles away from you i thought?
i never knew they ran class 2, i wrote to my local depot in spalding but they dont run class 2 there.

Soham depot is 24 miles from my front door…i checked yesterday…LOL… Effectively, I will be doubling my mileage to and from work for the first couple of weeks, but after that, doing 4 or possibly 5 nights out per week, I will actually end up driving less miles to work per week than I do now (13 miles each way, every day).
I believe they have very few rigids - 4 at the Soham depot to be exact . (Don’t now about any of the other yards). Therefore, I consider myself extremely lucky to have secured a position with them.
Actually enoyed my assessment drive…the bloke I went with was very friendly and relaxed, even when ticking the relevant boxes on his assessment form. When we got back, he told me that it had been an “excellent drive”. I was well chuffed!!

I would be interested in the job but Basingstoke in Hampshire to Norfolk is a long way… 
I bought a van once from near you from a place called Walton Highway (I think it was) and the poxy thing broke down a few miles down the road causing absolute chaos on the main road
