Hi bigr250,
As EAA770W was the first one Registered I guess none would have been V plates. If anybody has any pics that would be good or other info as I know Gazzer know this about EAA770W.Paul

I don’t doube the first one registered by Volvo UK was a ‘W’ reg’ but if anyone on here remembers an owner driver from Hereford called ‘Sunny’ will remember his LHD ‘V’ reg F12 Globetrotter, I bought a couple of trailers of him back in 1988. I’m certain he bought it 2nd hand in about 1986/87 & I’m equally certain it was V reg, but I might be wrong■■?

Ross.

I think ECT Rycroft from Poole may have had one of the first,Volvo certainly used it in advertising as the first million mile Globetrotter.

HI ,
Just spotted this thread , been away on hols .I took deliverey of the first ( I think ) F12 Globetrotter in Norfolk TPW 680W when working for A A Hales . L H D , and the story was that it was prepared for a Middle East owner driver who could not take delivery for what ever reason . It was fully kitted out with fridge , sink with hot water heater ,unheard of in those days . I remember my first trip out in her I stopped in the Red Lodge and was inundated with drivers wanting to look inside . A week or two later stopping in the same cafe , I wandered back to the cab and forgot it was a ■■■■■■ , so blindly climbed into the right hand seat to drive off ,realised my mistake so got the map out and pretended to study it before clambering over to the drivers saddle ( wot a pratt I felt )
POPEYE ( A K A Concrete Cowboy )

Isn’t this is a Eurotrotter?

Matthews ran enough Globetroters, so thats a bit spitefull giving this bloke a Eurotrotter, maybe they were trying to tell him something! A subtle form of constructive dismissal!!!

Oh i missed that Eurotrotter, didnt even notice that one.

Nice bikini, why the Canadian flag(it caught my eye  ).still looking for pics of CG Janes Volvos from the early nineties, seen at Truckfests during that time, two tone blue with red chassis. He also had some pretty FH12’s,but his F12’s in both guises were some of the finest around.

MOC:

I like this, but I’d take the crap off the front grille. Nothing like a supercube tilt (until you’ve got to strip it out!)

Mark.
