F12 Globetrotter early 80's?

marky:
Sorry, yes - 10th & 1tth or 17th & 18th.

No doubt I will get the confirmed dates from Squeaky Dave when I speak to him this afternoon (he usually has a stall inside the museum)

Its on 10th/11th June according to my Classic & Vintage Commercials year planner.

We would have definately been going but that has changed in the last 24 hours

Carl,if youā€™re interested Iā€™ve got a couple of early F12 brochures which I can scan and put up here.
They are both the twin headlight model, one a flat top and one Globetrotter.

Let me know.

Keith

Wow the Yeardley Globetrotter brings back some memories of when i was growing up, He was definatly the No1 haulier in Hull in my eyes when he took delivery of that :sunglasses:

I even remember going to watch a parade in Hull to celebrate Charles and Dianas engagement and this Globetrotter was the star of the show

Not a clue what the text of the advert says but going by the picture / diagram on the page marked 12,it seems to be showing that the cooker is PETROL fuelled!!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

At the bottom it seems to be showing that the cooker can be changed to a gas fitting but the original shows some form of liquid fuel and iā€™m guessing its not diesel!!!

Anyone got any ideasā– ā– ?

Coleman make a petrol fueled stove.

We used to have propane gas night heaters in the cabs

Hereā€™s a nice pic from a link posted in another thread of a mid 80ā€™s Globetrotter F12 for sale in France.

I had 1 in my F12 bought it at 3 months old when Thames vally Freight went pop TFC387X Ran it on Rokold for a couple of years great truck the cooker was a menace you used to light it like a tilly lamp pump up the pressure then slowly open the valve with a lighted match near it if you were lucky it didnt take your eyebrows off Bined mine after a couple of weeks before I got hurt
Never had a gas bottle with it either

1st picture I ever saw of The Joker, smartest wagon Iā€™d ever seen, the lettering on the headboard & the Joker cards on the sleeper sidesā€™ total class!
