i never saw his flat roof one mark, but judging the cond of the 16 it would have been nice i bet, carnt beat em old volvos, daz
Here’s a picture of the flat-top, taken at the CVRTC rally at Gaydon in 2001
i wanted to visit that gaydon show marky last time round (05) but i was not well enough. is it a good show? i didnt like the peterboro show much it was a bit commercialised and crowded with stalls. whats the gaydon one like, plenty of old tackle?
That a nice F1020
Imagine driving one of those when you were 22 Its a pity they could not cure the back window and stick a velcro cushion in it

It’s all old tackle, apart from the REVS display of ERFs at the top of the hill.
We are (apparently) exhibiting this year, so we’ll be making a weekend of it. I’ll remind you of it nearer the time - it almost always falls on Father Day in mid-June.
If the sun shines (for a change) it should be a really good show.

If I remember rightly, Paul told us that he had fitted a replacement back panel with no window in it after I’d taken that picture in 2001 - no need for a velcro cushion.

Can you make sure our secretary gets two entry forms please!
Would that be entry forms for Gaydon, or application forms for the new club? (hint, hint)

Both! BTW, who is acting as our secretary these days?
Me I suppose - I seem to have been lumbered with that job since last year.
TC is in charge of putting all the bits back into one big moving 'thing &, I’m in charge of making sure we don’t get turned away at the gate when we arrive…
that sounds good marky! i’ll look forward to it as it aint too far away from my place!
yer that is sweet, never seen it till now ,

Judging by the reg., it came from Lancashire Tucks at Kirkby, and the number does seem familiar, although I don’t think we had any UFY reg nos though

You’re going to Gaydon with 34■■ Paul has already reminded me about entering JRN. Do you know the date though? We’re going away on holiday for 1 week from 11 June…
My initial thoughts were that it was a Kammac wagon, but I really can’t remember what registration numbers they carried. FY was actually the Southport registration mark (along with WM latterly) but it all got revised and they all ended up as Merseyside registration marks.
Apart from all that, Kammac ran F1017s - I don’t recall ever seeing any 1020s.

If it’s a Kammac wagon, where are the re-entry burns??

Yup - that was the word from Operational HQ in Ossie last year and I’ve not heard anything to the contrary since.
It’s on either the 12th/13th or 19th/20th June. OMT is also on holiday a that time so he can’t come.

I thought that’s what the stripes were on the original livery!!
The only F10s I ever saw with automatic parachute deployment as an extra feature on the braking system.

Hmmm, setting sail (literally) from Southampton with P&O Cruises on Sunday 11th, so that will mess up both weekends. Paul says he’d like to take JRN anyway, though
Sorry, yes - 10th & 1tth or 17th & 18th.
No doubt I will get the confirmed dates from Squeaky Dave when I speak to him this afternoon (he usually has a stall inside the museum)
