My Father was 10 squadron Bomber Command - If he was still alive he would be mortified by your post - the thing he risked his life for (Night After Night) was not for the sort of hatred & isolationist posts that you & other Brexiteers make.
Actually, we didn’t vote for Brexit - there was a very small majority in favour of Brexit & now that people are waking up to the fact that he Brexit camp lied all the way to the Ballot box - people want their say.
Not surprisingly the Brexiteers on this Forum seem to think it is perfectly OK to lie to get their way - yet somehow think the rest Of Europe is corrupt - Only In Ingerland.

Nor have I heard a German driver say British Drivers were lazy - although a few (not Just Germans) did say the English were workshy - the Scousers (Choose any other English Region) who have moved to Cornwall don’t seem to want to work
In fact a lot of people think they moved here because there was no work - well there is shedloads of work in agriculture but only the EE’s will do it- god help us when they go - & forget about fresh cauliflower & veg etc. for dinner as we will have no-one to pick it

Your comment, actually we didn’t vote for Brexit well 17.4 million people in this country would not agree with that statement, how you can say the Brexit camp lied all the way to the ballot box is just the same as the remainer’s with there constant scaremongering so no difference there, all I can say is that the government before that vote in 2016 spent several millions of pounds to explain what the vote entailed so no one can say they were not enlightened. The fact is the powers to be never expected the result they got albeit very close in the end, this should never have dragged on for so long it was IN or OUT nought else and should have been dealt with long before now, they are now just elongating it in the hope of a reversal.
Just hope that TM fails with her deal bid and it gets revoked and from what I here the government are now thinking that’s the way it is going as today they have awarded 107 million pound contracts for extra cross channel ships, those involve DFDS, Brittany Ferries and the like so they must be rubbing there hands with joy and to boot there was no tendering for the services of these companies as stated there was no time for that saying it was urgent to have things in place in the event of a no deal exit from the EU. Buzzer.

My paternal Grandad was a desert rat in WW2 he lost 2 brothers one a flight sergeant on a Lancaster Bomber the other a train driver in Italy
My maternal Grandad was a ground crew member in the RAF based in Malta he was wounded during an attack by the Luftwaffe
My paternal Grandad never talked about the war as he witnessed some horrific scenes my Grandma used to tell me he’d wake up screaming some nights even up to his death in 1998
My maternal Grandad died last year and he voted to leave the EU and would often tell others to do the same as the EU was becoming a parody of a kind of Nazism
The German led EU was taking over Europe by stealth and by voting to leave the EU this hopefully would put a halt to the creation of a superstate
I was only 5 when the original vote for the EEC ( common market) was taken
I’ve no problem being part of a trading bloc
But I do take offence at me losing family members who died in order for me to live in a free independent country and my birthright of freedom of speech which my family and the millions who gave their lives for me to say so
[/quote]
I would also like to add my maternal Grandad was a lifelong Labour voter and member and also a staunch Trade Unionist who campaigned against the rise of the EU superstate which has helped in suppressing British wages due to the influx of cheap economic migrants
I really don’t want to become part of this discussion, as i don’t know the details but i guess it will be very difficult to return to gaydon with my own truck and to go to maybe Interlaken for the english drivers. Even buying and selling old truck parts for restoration will become complicated. I think this is a bad development. Now i’m out!
If we were all snowed up somewhere like say the bottom of Imranli in January in spite of our differences we would all chip in a can for Camion Stew & cram in an F88 or worse ( if my Merc wasn’t there) & help each other out to the death.
The worst thing about Brexit is how it has spit the people & the UK:( countries of the Union) - whatever happens, I dearly hope we recover, as at the moment Brexit looks like destroying all that togetherness we once had.
And for those that still cling to the belief that they had a majority for Leave- take a deep breath & maybe think of your fellow men for once

Sounds like your beef is with the 12,948,018 who did not bother to vote, had every one been made to vote I wonder what the count would have been then, Buzzer.

Actually, my beef is more that the over 70s got a vote but the ones it would affect most 16+ didn’t get a vote
I did not believe I had a right to decide the future of our youth & only voted because so many did not give a flying ‘4Candles’ for our youth & Future
I think most of em couldn’t be arsed to get up and vote
Then they moan when they don’t like the outcome and then demand another vote
Well ■■■■ it up buttercup that’s life
Even the most ardent brexiteers say it may take 20 years to recover from Brexit before England becomes the supreme world power again - and with Capt Mannering now Retd. not looking good.
Will any Brexit voters still be aliv e then?

No surprise that doesn’t seem to bother you in the case of the 1975 referendum. So tell us why is that ?.Probably because you know that many of the 16-18 age group then like me looked up to people like Powell,Heffer and Shore. As opposed to the modern day brainwashed Soviet style muppets hero worshipping Federalist muppets like Blair and Juncker and putting their allegiance behind the stinking EU flag and its corrupt government posturing and masquerading on the world stage as a rogue self appointed but non declared nor recognised country.

The austerity required,to pay for the debt resulting from our EU net contributions and unsustainable trade deficit,is so much better than setting the clock back to 1972 over night.
As for your whingeing I’m sure that every Tito supporter said exactly the same thing as your lot about the formation of and trying to save their stinking Yugoslav Federation. That ended well put out of its misery by a secessionist bullet.Good luck with forcing ‘ever closer’ European integration on the slavic states when they finally realise that their self determination and national sovereignty is worth more to them than EU bribes.

Do not insult my age or my intelligence " Whispering" it’s come to a pretty pass when you have the ■■■■■■■ cheek to suggest that anyone “over the age of 16” should be excluded from the Electoral register. And your Pie chart is a ■■■■■■■ joke also and for good measure you are taking for granted that all those who couldn’t be bothered to turn out and vote would have voted Remain----Bollox ! Put very simply the referendum was " IN or OUT" with no variations on a theme which the Loser Remainers have tried ever since to “weave” into the arguments about Brexit i.e. “We didn’t vote for that and we didn’t vote for this” The voting slip would have been as long as a Bog Roll if that had been the case ! What I can’t get my head around is 1) The Frogs and the Krauts have never, nor will ever, accept the UK as equals in the EU so forget all the “hot air” about staying in to effect change, it will never happen ! Oh! yes they want our substantial annual payment thank you very much you UK Mugs ! and 2) Don’t these pathetic Remainers keep an eye on how things are developing in the EU ? It is falling apart at the seams so why would you want to be part of such an un democratic fraudulent organisation as this. And as for Trade, don’t make me laugh and please don’t compare the UK viz-a-viz The EU with the relationship England has with Scotland and Eire!! The EU do more Trade with the UK than in the other direction and where Trade is concerned the Dutchmen/Krauts/Frogs/Spaniards and the Scans will fall over themselves to carry on Trading with the UK as they have for many a year ! Why are the Remainers preaching doom and gloom with regard to Trade ? The quicker we leave the EU with No Deal the quicker we will arrive at a mutually acceptable situation in spite of the Aireosols that supposedly run the EU. So I wonder which will be the next EU member to “kick over the traces” and want out ? That time is coming absolutely no danger ! So bring it on the sooner the better as far as I am concerned ! Bewick.
Pie Chart.
I just love the way remoaners automatically assume that everyone who did not vote in the referendum is on ‘their’ side. Likewise everyone who did vote in it, but has since died was obviously someone on the ‘other’ side, so this entitles them to get their way because there is now a majority who agree with them.
You lost tough ■■■■.

How did it used to get picked prior to half of the EE being here then?

Indeed Bewick! I know everybody is entitled to their opinions, but I do get rather wound up by this thread and people who I presume have been involved at the sharp end of this wonderful industry of Road haulage as lorry drivers, one of the true bastions of the working class, and think the EU and staying in it is a good thing…
I watched the “World at War” Series on the Yesterday Channel today where it showed Holland falling to the Nazis after the bombardment of the port of Rotterdam
The Dutch gave up after a short period of time to be under ■■■■ rule
The remoaners remind me of a lot of Dutch people who were fanatical in being under the boot of Germany and seeing Dutch people saluting the ■■■■■■■■ reminds me of the Euro fanatics draping themselves in the EU flag
Well I think that just sums up this thread, or at least the greater proportion of it. The Yesterday Channel
Franglais:
But to the point, we are affected by the EU whether or not we are members. So we are ‘ruled’ by their decisions. Brexit won’t affect that truth, except to deny us a voice at the decision making table!
How as a non EU member state are we supposedly ruled by EU decisions any more than New Zealand is ?.
