Any one remember Laceys did they have coaches as well

I remember Laceys they used to be at creek road Barking and Ilford high rd before that they were white with a orange stripe then went to grey and marroon
they had scania 110 day cabs crusader transcons and f12s they were quite a big fleet with the coaches they finished in about 1990 but they still run a couple of coaches I remembervthe felgate riged never seen that photo before he had a few of them which used to work fron london coastel out of canvey he also had them with the bathgate cab and scania 4 wheelers after that brains had a albion 4 wheeler as well first in the yellow then in act colours

Never seen those Evans photos before never knew he had such late Leylands
I bet it was like mutiny in the yard when they came home all fighting for them
if they would have still been going he would have still had them now

Can’t remember if it was a Volvo or a Scania, but I saw a laceys motor in LEP by Milan airport, the driver was a very very big chap, he must’ve been going there for years coz he had the eyeties stripping his tilt for him in the middle of summer, dont ever remember seeing the bloke in any of the usual haunts but he was down that way all the time, this was 88/89ish, didnt see them much after that, although they still have a sign on the wall of a yard in Creek Rd Barking.

Was Evans’ yard behind the Ship & Shovel pub on the A13 as my grandad drove for a tanker firm there in the early 70’s

i Think they were behind the ship and shovel when i worked for them in 1986 after leaving A T Stevens they were at Baking in Thames yard

I was led to believe that the Felgate Scania 112, AJN 414X was used by Scania for press photos as it was one of the first series 2 Scanias to go on the road. Dont know if this is true, but im sure someone does!

If anyone has any pictures, photos, well anything really Tracto, please let me know. My father worked for Tracto for a number of years until its demise in 1994. I even did my weeks work experience in the transort office. I have fond memories of this company as a “young lad” and try to collect anything I can.
