Paul Williams Transport from Chadwell St Mary near Tilbury all our work was Frans Maas. pics from around 1996, we shared a yard with 2 other firms, one was Silver Wolf, the other was Steve Wisdom.
did Robbie Dawkins work for Silver Wolf? im sure he did, and
i think Stevie Wisdom is still running a few motors on containers,
Peter Wisdom is in Spain now dont know what happened to old
Joe Wisdom he was in Australia but i would imagine he is dead
by now, maybe someone knows, what about you Harry■■?
saw this last week in the circus tavern garage
Think i’m right in saying the Mckellar bulkers belong to the son (little Ian) & i’m also sure i see Alan Laine in one last week!
yes mate you are quite right i dont know what the set up there is fully
but i saw Laney last year and he was working for young Ian.
Does anyone remember, or have photos of, a Barking based company called Defoy, I’m sure the previously mentioned micky villers used to work for them, my old man drove for them for a while in the late 70’s, blue and red scanias if memory serves, 111’s 141’s and a solitary red 110
Have a photo somewhere will try to find it, Ronnie Evans (sauce bottle shoulders) was on for them also!
Great J C W Photos where was there depot were they down Ferry Lane
<a%20href=“Photo Storage”>
Not very good photos itwasme the best i could do.
Ronnie Evans had the 141 (the pub at Bourg)
No idea who had the 111.

Hi Carna well his original yard i believe was in Romford or that area
but when i worked there we was down Choats Road off of Cheqhers lane
Dagenham the yard was the pits but it served its purpose. keeping your
floor clean drivers side was a nightmare especially when it was raining
the yard was worse than the somme but you earnt good money with
Peter there was a lot of ducking and diving with deisel and all that stuff
but in all was not a bad job.
Thanks for those jacko22, I could be wrong about the 111’s, all I can remember is that I think they had a couple of 141’s, and as I said my old man drove the 110, mainly UK work but also Belguim and Holland runs, went a few times with him, and if memory serves, one of the directors was a bloke called Crux, who’s brother or family member anyway, was involved with Status Quo.
I used to like go out with me dad a lot, starting with Delaney Galley or Delanair as they were later called, in Barking and stopping when he worked for either Defoy or Stokes, can’t remember which, it’s in the dim and distant past now, well, not so distant I suppose.
Hi Crack on to Macon Cheqhers Lane i remember that road well used to go to DCD place and CSM right down the bottom oand stopping at the cafe just before the level crossing

Unitruck… David Bennoy ( spelling) anyone know of his whereabouts this was 1985-86
Also does anyone remember Voltainer, Dagenham way I think used to run 2 yellow Marathons down to Barcelona 86-86 Jimmy Martin and another guy called George.
Peter Dansea used to run a few of his own, I think he picked up the pieces after Defoy finished, i did a few for him, mostly waste paper down to Lucca with a reload from Albini’s in Prato (john)
Bob you’re right, Defoy was in Belvedere at one time & Dansea was in Barking behind the G&S tyre place somewhere I think.
Didn’t Ronnie Hunt work for Defoy?
Dieseldog6 Dave Benoy is working for Hoyer on Shell contract out of coryton i wirked with him on Esso about 1987
