The scania 140 pictured reg PAR841R was bought second hand of f scania purfleet by terry creasey sgh transport. It was driven by a driver called johnny wise who was ex simon int.The lorry was parked in orbital road silvertown having the derv tanks repaired and some kids during the night set light to the lorry. It was badly burnt and ended up at scanias stowmarket.I think a london firm bought the wreck and repaired it as i later see it an it was painted brown. Also Tommy Peak had a 141 scania reg DNO350T on eissel shipping doing spain with tankers,Tom sold the lorry to Charlie Protheroe who was pulling for european freight bus but still drove the lorry for Charlie.

Around 1985/86 The motor reg number WHJ 182S was run by a Bloke from Greenford, working out of Cannock-ish, doing Germany. It was painted red and black at that time.

what really bugs me is, where have all these trucks gone■■?
Most have been exported or scrapped i guess, but surely a couple must be laying about some where!!!
Hi Chalkey

loads of scrap tractor tyres to fiat allis leece,if i remeber the governor

finished he came and worked for unitruc.

I remember the traffic cops on the A2 and when they found out you pulled out of Rainham or the A13 they used to be a bit keen !!! Don’t know why, but I used to hide my permits.

There are a number of photo’s in this thread and in the Suffolk Hauliers thread that are from a copyrighted private collection owned by Mr Andy Dakers.
Mr Dakers has kindly agreed that those already posted can stay, but requests no more are posted on here without his specific permission. Please abide by his request
Yes - I have already opologised to Andy Dakers for posting a couple of his pictures…
As I have already said all I have done is post some pictures to rekindle days gone by and hopefully for those who visit this site ,being the guy’s who drove these trucks to bring back some memories.
Obviously the mainstay of the phoots which I have posted are my own some I have taken , In my mind I would like everyone to see and enjoy.
Its not like we are selling them on here is it.
Shame about the red writing its only pictures of trucks after all.
Next thing will be a health & safety warning.
here here mick theres a few of mine on here and someone selling some of mine of me own motors on e bay dont no when they took them because they never stood still long enough cant see it does anyone any harm if it wernt for photos like this we wouldnt have any history whats the point of keeping them all tucked up for no one to see we might as well be stamp collectors
I think if people are not willing to share or post they shouldnt look people should be proud that people are interested in ther vehicles back you 100%on that one chalk

I have the similar problem. I find my pictures back on internet. Now i put a name on the picture. The reason it’s not to sel and i think i cant take the collection with me if i past a way. Now everyone can share it with me and brings back old memorys.
If you dont want that the pictures wil be seld. Put you name on it.
