Regarding the article above which I wrote some months back for REVS: it just shows how quickly historical knowledge moves on. Already some of it is out of date! The caption on p33 hints at only some of what we now know and guess about those loose 8MW cabs and re-cabbed ERFs. Likewise, on p35 we know a little more about the ‘MJL’ unit (see notes a page or two back on this thread); and much more about the Middle-East tour undertaken by JLG 35N.
The other article in that issue was about Eric Vick ERFs and includes some material and pictures about their NGCs. However, I do know that Wobbe Reitsma, who wrote it, isn’t over-keen on his stuff being put on here. Robert
DEANB:
One of Wim Willemstein. I assume reg DB 77 520
As always you bring excellent evidence to the table, Dean! This is a new picture and you are correct in thinking that this unit was the Dutch registered vehicle you mentioned. It was Cees not Wim Willemstein, however (unless Wim took the picture!). You are a star! Robert
My mate had ago at trying to make the image clearer on this photo but said that due to it being so old
the picture has a very low resolution so not alot he could do with it.

That was ERF’s Dutch importer/dealership near Rotterdam. Robert

Great pic! Haven’t seen that one before. . I should point out that it is Cees, BTW: I can’t think why it says Cess in my book! Robert
Another one of Cees, plus ERF shrine !
Reg,DB 77 52 ,the caption with the photo says it had just had a engine re build and been resprayed in 1983.
