The combination of plastic cabs, traditional drive-lines and robust build quality seemed to appeal to the showman community - and why not? That particular era of ERFs (ie. A-series, B-series, C-series, E-series, EC-series) proved attractive to those showmen who preferred traditional lorry technology. However, I know of no LHD ERFs utilised by UK showman; and only a couple of LHD B-series ERFs that were used by French circus/fairground folk (you can view these on the Left-hand drive ERF B-series thread). I know of no ERF NGCs that ‘retired’ to fairground use, and if you come across any evidence of such I’d be very interested! Cheers, Robert
An interesting rear / side view showing off those Trilex wheels. Not sure why the front axle is on small tyres. Robert

Brilliant ‘find’, Dan! Well done. I’ve certainly never seen this picture before. Thank you for taking the trouble of posting in here. Robert
Another nice book review in April’s Truckstop News (paper). Robert
I found this image on the internet. God knows what it is! A key fob, perhaps. What ever it is, it’s got the WRONG CAB! It appears to be the short version of the MP mark 4 cab as used by FTF and the 5MW ERF, so it may be based on the erroneous model that is being marketed elsewhere. Weird. Robert

looks like one of those speed freaks, normally cars though not trucks
A striking livery of this 6MW with Dyna-grille as it needed extra cool air!
We in Belgium had quite some in the French-speaking regions.

This LCC-chassis reminds me a lot to the both chassis in Belgium, both converted after
accidents to get a new life in heavy transport elsewhere.
Here is one of three pictures taken at the Harem hotel truck park on the Asian side of the Bosphorus in Istanbul featured in my new book. It was taken by Chris Till, driver of KFH 249P when he was doing regular Baghdads. The first thing you notice is the Barrierros Dodge and Fiat 682; then you spot an Oryx Volvo. I hope it’s David Miller driving it, so that he can tell us a bit more about that scene! Then you notice both the Eric Vick NGCs, the rear one pulling a Vijore tilt. You can also see two Richard Read NGCs, one of which is pulling the RR 'fridge trailer (which we know made at least one journey to Baghdad). Fascinating stuff! Robert
Love these old pics from back in the day, playing spot the operator! Could that be one of Dows behind / at the rear of the Richard Read fridge? With another next to it? The colours could be right?

Yes they could well be Dow Freight. The trailers are Eurofleet ones and I’m sure Dow used them. Robert
BTW, you can see David’s reply to the query about the Harem picture above on the Best '70s Middle-East Unit thread, as follows:

NGCs on the Baghdad run. Eric Vick’s KFH 249P can be seen here, with a Richard Read NGC in front of it. Photo by Chris Till, driver of the Eric Vick unit at the time. Robert
Another very positive review of book 2 in the June issue of TRUCKING . Robert
