take it you had the little P cab thing mine’s an R cab highline thing that means the windows go down 3/4 of the way lol!! unless they break aswell but hey there elec and it’s a scania

My original question was basically how the hell these trucks were still being sold on 05 plates…but it is obvious from your replies…Its cos there are dumb idiots…who are happily prepared to let their boss get away with buying them such [zb] to drive…To Mr Idiot it’s not about a pleasant enviroment to work in or driver comforts…no just a nice huge (ooooppps) steering wheel…Great stories of how it was in 1762…and a horn to blow at the totty…oooohhh nearly forgot…Wind up Windows…
PS: (The only exception I’ll make is for folk whom are desperate for cash…in such cases i can understand…but those whom are just happy with it…SAD!!!)

yep if you can,t manage a window winder that’s really tough, lucky for you as a new driver that modern equipment makes the job of driving very very easy indeed. i mean how would you manage with a twin splitter no night heater and a bed as wide as a credit card and ropes and sheets as well. I say new driver as none of the old hands moan about ERF,s.

I’ve been driving 56 plate Scania’s and Volvo’s for the past year (artics + rigids)…and the ERF is only a year older…but when you compare them…it’s like 1,000,000 years older…Reckon if you offered it to nethrandral man…he’d give you a severe beating with his club…and tell you…he’ll and his folks will walk to Gibraltar…
I’m sorry but a most truck makers have realised…that they can’t keep chucking out these nasty design cabs…cos nobody want to drive them anymore…and put up with the rubbish you lot had to…(you lot must have been mad…never catch me putting up with such rubbish…too many of you are now [zb])…The exception being MAN…mother of ERFARK - I’ve driven the CF version…Rubbish
in 1902 i was driving a ford D series, no cd or tape just a wireless with a coat hanger for an aeriel.it was a real upgrade when i got a cargo,now there’s a truck

I believe this man doesn’t like an ERF…is this is the standard of drivers nowadays !!! NO electric windows. Should have had a LV or A Series day cab on distance work…We didn’t even have a handle to wind the window up and the only heater of any use was the engine pulling up a hill.
BTW on your way past Mothercare pick up your special order XL dummy & Rattle. Your teddies will be lying where you threw them out the pram
Listen you old fools…shut-up about how it was whatever millennium …Too me anyone who drove in those days was an idiot…Why the hell would you want a job driving around in some super basic truck…with nothing but a steering wheel and handbrake…Sleeping in a tin…in minus conditions…not even a something proper to lay on…I doubt the designers in them days…done test trials…themselves…in such conditions…“Nah these drivers are idiots…anything will do”…
That’s is why so many “Ruffty-Tuffty” drivers are completely knackered now…This wrong with them and that wrong with them…I ain’t going down that path…when i’m a old man…I’m still going to be in my prime…

As i see from some of your pics…I must make it clear…I’m only refering to the latest style Scania’s…55 plate onwards…the older type…are unacceptable to standards ■■■■■■■■■■ some even come with wind-up windows )…
The new style has only two major faults…Traction Control…and take off speed…beyond that…minus a few minor faults they are spot on…The only other truck that offers possible competion is the Actros…(new style)…everything else is just second rate…but as you lot are Ruffty…Tuffty’s you just won’t understand these matters…any ERF trash will do for you lot…BUMS
