greg50:
orys.
i dont normally reply to you.i feel i must do so now.
I wonder: Are you usually don’t speak with Poles? Or there is any other reason and it’s particularly about myself?
i am one of the drivers that would like to see all the poles sent home.
i feel i have good reason to say this.
I am always interested to hear from you, at least I live in this country so it’s good to know the local’s mood and opinion.
when poland joined the eu.there was places for some to come to ireland and england.
i read figures in the paper saying theres 500,000 in britain and 250,000 in ireland.
these figures,i dont believe.
i would double or treble them
I don’t believe in them either. They are estimated that in the top moment there was about 1000 000 of Poles in Britain only.
both countries are saturated with poles, are in a lot of cases they are working cheaper then the local people can afford to.
That part I can never understand. So Poles are able to come here, work for less, while they sitll have to rent a flat, some of them are buying a flats or houses, they still buy a food, a car, petrol or diesel, pay taxes and NIN and all that at the same price than Brits. Then they are flying to Poland very often to see their family and as you claim, they sending most of their salaries there (I not). So they have to live as every other people in this country and on the top of that they travel very often through half of Europe and sending money home and they still can manage that from smaller salaries than Brits? Please be honest and call that “Poles are working for smaller money than Brits want to”, no “that Brits can afford”.
i know in dublin, they[poles] are laughing about taking the jobs of the locals.
not a very good advertisment for polish popularity.
There is some amount of people who are not a good advertisment for their community in every nation…
i cant bring myself to deal with polish in a civil manner when i have to work with them.
i never had a gripe wwith them, but now.i have a big issue with them and would rather see them all gone back home.
I fully understand your position. It’s always better to rid off competition when times are getting thight.
most of them send a large bulk of their wages home, not circulating the money in local economies.
Tell me: how you imagine that it’s possible? Are they sending all money back to Poland and their families are sending them parcels with tents (to save them from spending money on flats), candles and batteries (to save them from spending money on electricity), sandiches, cabbage and sassauges (to save them from spending money on food) and petrol (to save them from spending money for fuel)?
Come on, it’s impossible to live in some country and do not take part if this country economics.
i now read that in poland on some building sites, they wont employ english or irish.
■■■■■■■■. They will employ everyone who want to work for salary offered. There is already a bunch of British companies working in Poland, we have even English bus drivers and the biggest buidling company in Poland is Skanska, from Sweden IIRC and they employ much swedish engeeners… So if you will be struggling with money, you are welcome. Please only learn some basic Polish, becouse, as milodon likes to emphasize, many Poles do not speak english, especially back in home.
they came over after the berlin wall was brought down, but,we are paying the price.
To be correct with history: they were coming a lot in 80s here. When the Berlin Wall fell, the things in Poland improved radically, so there were no significant emigration from Poland in 90s. After Poland joined EC and becomed part of unificated european work market, mass emigration started as it wasn’t any longer complicated thing to do.
