First time I have seen that, advertising jobs at GOOLE, trouble is you have to get past the assessor’s at Goole, who are stupid and are notorious for failing people for silly things, I failed for not turning the collar on red suzy a quarter of a turn, another lad failed for not tugging hard enough after hooking up.

They’re not silly things
I was at Asda In redhouse this morning, 2 stobart drivers in the waiting area telling anyone who would listen that there’s a waiting list a mile long to get on with stobarts, they reckon the money is “fantastic” and the kit is “great”, apart from that they are “■■■■ to work for”. One of them reckon he takes home £1200 a fortnight for 60 hours a week on days, no nights out
. Think I heard them say they were from stoke.

Yes they are, Had the assesor had any wit about him he would have just mentioned them, and the red Suzy collar thing IS NOT DANGEROUS, they cannot fly off.

Those fails seem justified. Perhaps you need to take some lessons again if you don’t know how to couple up properly.
Had the assesor had any wit about him he would have just mentioned them
Why? He was there to assess if you’re a driver or a screwdriver, not teach you how to do the job.

Are you sure?
I for 1 wouldn`t risk it…especially if the coupling is worn. imagine if you bimbling down the road and it pops off, resulting in the trailer brakes locking up
Nah. He could have just mentioned it. I wasnt aware that red lines flying off all over the place was a common occurrence. You shove it on and you know when its on ok. I
ve never had one fall off in 37 years.
Theres too much of this type of thing going on. I went for an assessment, the guy said " yeh, nice drive that was mate, your in. couldn
t fault you. But Ive got to put something down, so I
ll just say “could use mirrors a bit more”…! ■■■■■■.
Seven more years then Im done. Can
t wait.
If the collars weren’t designed to be twisted around to un-align the pin / groove, they wouldn’t have been designed that way.
Now, the fact they made it so you could do that, there must be a reason for it, so do it
Oh, and yes it’s possible to have the red airline ‘just fly off’ and if you’ve not done the tug test properly, then you shouldn’t bother doing it, coupling and uncoupling isn’t rocket science, and if you can’t do it properly that 1 time when you’re on assessment, I can’t blame him for not putting you further in the company to getting a job to be honest.
they were full of ■■■■ A day tramper may be on that sort of money but defo not jus working days

BIG HEAD IS BACK, a man (I think its a man not just big talking head) who COULD NOT hold down a job as a shunter at Goole ( you ought to hear what the other shunters said about him), criticizing me, pot calling the kettle black, here is Conor’s theme tune MAX BYGRAVES - 'Big Head (Big ‘ead)’ - 1953 78rpm

Yes they can. If you hit a speed bump or have some form of jolt the line can fire out if it hasn’t been twisted. How do i know? Cause ive had it happen and it isnt pleasant

I was that annoyed wayne I spoke to the supervisor at Grimsby Scania, he assured me that if you put the Suzy on correctly in the first place IT COULD not UNCOUPLE as it could not overcome the air pressure.
When you are giving the unit a tug, how hard is not hard enough?
And as to you perfect never get anything wrong lot, I bow in awe.

I’ve admitted, on here, a public forum, that I’ve been distracted when dropping a trailer and ripped the airlines off.
The difference between me and you, is that I’ve admitted that I’ve made a mistake and learnt from it, you’re in denial which means ■■■■ will happen again and again until you learn and listen to those more experienced than you

What if the collar is loose by wear and vibrates round to the knob, I think you imagining things, did you put it on correctly in the first place.

Comedy topic. Create a thread about jobs being advertised in a,.shock horror, job centre. Then tell everyone how you failed the assessment at said company. And then slag anyone who dares to suggest the reasons you failed were valid. Maybe you failed because you are monkey brained?

I was merely suggesting, forgive me, that perhaps they were a bit too keen to fail people, and that perhaps a whisper in someones ear would be perhaps a less expensive and more productive way forward, they could retest after a month for instance, the law allows employers to dispense with your services for up to 13 weeks without comeback.
If you look back I did not start the abuse, but people who cause hundreds of pound worth of damage to trailers and then slag me?
As for conor he is a waste of space.
Monkey Brains, perhaps so, been called worse.

If you’re referring to me there, then you’re even more thick than I thought, the suzi’s are on the unit, NOT the trailer, no wonder you struggle to couple up
