You have to start a weekly rest period no later than six consecutive 24-hour periods after finishing the last one, If I start at 1300 on a Sunday and end the week running in on Saturday morning then that’s seven “cards” but it’s legal.
You look different in the flesh than in your avatar lol, truck looked nice though

if you can show me a link to where im going wrong il stand corrected but I read the rules and it never mention how many shifts, just daily and weekly rests.
It’s six 24 hr periods jd. That’s 144 hrs. You can work 20 shifts if you can squeeze them in.
If you start work at say 5pm Sunday then you must be finished by 5pm the following Saturday. 7 days no problem.
yes 144 hrs but you can only be on duty ie booked on for a maximum of 84 hrs ie 3 lots of 15 hrs then 3 lots of 13 hrs thus 84 hrs then you got to get it down to an 48 hr average working week for the dreaded wtd rules good luck on that one

Very good AJ. The plot thickens. I came here to read on international stobarts,!?
as the lad said at the beginning of this thread he’s going for a job at stobarts i wish him luck but having a young child is going to be hard on his partner as i found out years ago when my 3 where young when you get home you get that old bit of chat "i cant cope with this get another job or its bye bye " naturaly you get another job. but thats a long time ago and all have grown up and yes im back on the euro work and we are all happy . The end of the day everyones differant and weather its stobarts or any other employer its a job like it or leave it its your choice as for stobarts they seem ok i speak to the lads somtimes they just get on with it got nice kit it all works its a truck!!! now if the lad behind the wheel thinks this is the best job in the world and im the best driver who erns the best wages then thats his view on life if this lads works for stobarts and it all works out then thats fine and we as other drivers must respect him or any other lads that work for this company end of the day we are all in it together except the flip flops

Totally agree mate.
I love euro work but it’s no good with a young family at home. At the mo I make do with a bit of channel hopping and the odd decent trip. But one day they will be grown up and if their is a transport industry left by then. I’M OFF.

Same as that, I stopped going away for long periods when my twins were born and have been doing Monday-Friday ever since, UK or Channel hopping, but they will be 15 this year and rapidly moving into their own adult worlds so I’m ready to giddy up get go again, ideal scenario would be something that took me away on tour for three months or so.
me too my three girls are all in they,re 20s now and i generally have a 50/50 mix of uk and euro if the rates are right, but im now doing a bit more euro again and its like being back in the late 80s early nineties away for 2/3 weeks at a time, av got a job in greece comming up, hav,nt been there for about 20 years so looking forward to that one
try the crowd I work for they would be happy with you doing 3 months on and then say a month off no problem

Good luck with the Eddie international side, I actually work for them and have plenty of euro exp but I can’t get on that side , they seem if you work here they don’t want to know, so if anybody on here out of Hawleys lane pm me and tell me how, as I’ve been trying a while.

the one i know who has just gone on it out of hawleys lane[well i think it was hawleys lane] got on it as far as i know bwcause he was down to be made redundant,so lists of the jobs that were avaliable were posted on board at depot and those under threat of redundancy got first priority a.f.a.i.a,another lad went after euro as well but when he heard wages he took tramping out of appleton(think kids came into it as well].a.f.a.i.a all the ones who were down to be made redundant and applied for jobs within stobarts got them
i asked about euro, tramping, change of depot but was told at 121 nothing was avaliable but they could offer me my existing job, same hours, times, wages etc,i fancied a change to be honest and was ■■■■■■ off about it like you,but those drivers wouldnt of had a job if they hadnt of got them,so fair enough really
If job ur goin for is walking floor or fridge work they only do benelux and bit ov germany so should be home most weekends its the 4x2’s pullin euroliners that get about and reg away
