I do drink. Sometimes to excess (or access, as you say), but I never drink and drive.

Bad spelling ,first sign of drinking to accessssss
we have just had a driver on this forum reply ■■■■■■ whilst in his cab
I never drink and drive but will have a couple if on night out. Depends what time I finish/start as to how many.
Nothing wrong with having a pint (or even 2) with a meal on a night out, I’ll just get that in before the self righteous amongst us and/or the lay by dwellers (with the mirrors pulled in
) start condemning those amongst us who like to socially unwind after 13 hours. As for any more than that or even a skinful …deffo not on end of. Iv’e seen guys on the ferry drinking enough to sink said ferry and set off next day…crazy. Who’s gonna be the first to bring on the reduced reaction research ■■■■■■■■, the problem is driving under the definition “drunk” not driving after having a pint 11 hours ago.
Does the “Drink in truck” part of the vote mean drinking on duty or having a bottle out of your fridge when parked up at night it doesn’t specify and there’s an obvious world of difference, and I have known drivers in each category.

No it means you would drive drunk

OK, I,ll confess to being the single vote in that category, as I took it to be “a bottle when parked up” sorry!
…What a plonker

Parked up at Blyth Services on Friday for a 45, in front of me was a cz Volvo Artic. He was there when I turned up. After about 30 mins the obese Driver got out and wobbled over to the bin with what looked like 4 cans of Lager. He then went into the services. I was curious, so I went over to put some rubbish in the same bin. It was 4 cans of 3.5% lager he’d put in this bin.
I thought, if he gets back in and drives off within the next 20 mins I’ll call the Plods. After 25 mins he hadn’t returned so I called 101 and was put through to London, wtf. Then they transfered me to Middlesborough, wtf again. After explaining that I think he may be DUIing soon, she said I’d be transfered to a local station, I said don’t bother, I’m now running late and need to get going.
He was parked on the right of the services not in what I’d call an overnight bay. When I passed his cab on my way out his curtains were open and a open laptop on on the steering wheel.
It was 1600hrs so could have been there for the night, what would you do?
Ain’t gonna bother again, more hassle than it’s worth.

I’m shocked - you mean he actually threw his rubbish in the bin provided and then walked over to the services when there were several wheels available? What is the world coming to!

If the guy was from CZ he was probably unable to read the parking rules so parked where he thought would be ok, what connection with drink driving has the fact that in your opinion he was obese, and how or why could you be arsed to take time to get out of your motor to check what he had binned ffs , and those cans could have accumulated over a few days and the only thing he was guilty of was cleaning his cab out, so you should have maybe phoned VOSA to tell them he was doing other duties on a break. I’ m always wary when I hear of drivers that report other drivers, if it was me I would assume the guy was on a night out, but I tend to concentrate on my own business.

Hold on a second!!! You see a driver get out of his cab (nationality is immaterial), walk over to a rubbish bin and then into the facilities. On what ■■■■■■■ basis do you base your assumption he was drinking and driving?? Those cans could have been from the night before!!! Does everyone close their curtains as soon as they park up?? Cos I don’t. You mean to tell me you actually went trawling through a rubbish bin■■?
Jesus ■■■■■■■ Christ but you are one sad muvverfukker.
Mind your own ■■■■■■■ business in future!!! Oh and I am an avid anti drinker driver and don’t drink.
Ok, always a touchy subject to comment on. But opinions vary and I reserve the right to view my opinion, peacefully and calmly.
I cannot condone any type of drink driving, nor being in charge of a vehicle whilst under the influence.
It’s not my way.
The day it becomes the norm for breathalyser tests to be fitted to ignition systems, it’ll be a good thing. Not just for those possibly effected by a vehicle driven under the influence, but to protect those drivers that do like a drink from falling foul and possibly losing everything.
( and going on 1 reaction I have just read, if you should see a woman being attacked, just look the other way, cos as a human being, you should avoid doing the right thing!!!)

No parking rules.
I had rubbish to put in the bin anyway.
I understand what you’re saying, first and now only time I’d made that type of call. It was MY call to make.
Obese was a descriptive word.
‘Trawling through the bin’ sad ■■■■■ the rubbish this chap had put in was on top, I didn’t have to move anything. I had rubbish to put in a bin and that bin was the closest, 'tard.

The day that happened Mr V, I certainly would intervene, but the difference between your point and the event in question is that a crime WAS actually occuring, not a perception based on an obvious predjudice towards foreign drivers.
