I know the world is going mad but it amazes me how you hear these stories of drivers about bursting a blood vessel because they have been brake checked.
Now tell me if I am wrong but in most cases that will only happen when a driver is traveling too close to the vehicle in front and
that said driver touches their brakes.
In my book and in the eyes of the law tailgating and traveling too close are not only exceedingly dangerous but a motoring offence.
A driver that keeps a safe distance will not get brake checked, will more likely be less stressed and far less likely to cause a serious accident.
So if you do not want brake checked do not sit too close to the vehicle in front. YOU are the one instigating the problem.

In an ideal world, you’d be right.
Last week I was traveling the M62 in heavy traffic. Because I was fully loaded I was taking it easy and leaving a nice gap in front of me. I lost count of the number of vehicle who decided to lane hop, cutting in front of me before hitting the brakes so as not to hit the vehicle in front.
This practice gets much worse around junctions.
I know this doesn’t fit in with your agenda for blaming lorries for everything, but more often than not, cars are the cause of collisions.

Exactly… I’ve lost count of the times some dicks in lane 2 realise they are about to miss their exit and pull in to my gap and anchor up.
Don’t hate that as much as the overtaking truck when the ‘‘driver’’ needs to pull in asap like his life depended on it.
I think this is usually the case, but I did have a car brake test me as they thought I was being deliberately awkward for not moving over whilst they forced their way onto the carriageway. Also got the middle finger afterwards. Typical London mentality

Said the…
Sock puppet.

more sock puppets…where will this end?
Ignoring the fact it’s from a known troll the question is half normal for a response.
The argument for it is flawed whichever way you stack it . Brake checking doesn’t happen when there is a safe gap between two vehicles. If it did it wouldn’t be brake checking, it would be vehicle some distance on front applied brakes, vehicle behind responds using his safe distance.
What normally happens is one of two things:-
someone who’s offended cuts in and almost instantly hits the brakes.
Or on the other hand, the offended vehicle who’s doing the braking is annoyed by a vehicle being too close. So then why on Earth would you test that reduced braking distance by carrying out emergency braking?
It’s an aggressive manoeuvre stemming from anger that is designed to increase risk of collision that places everyone in the vicinity at risk. I can’t see how anyone would fail to be annoyed by it. But being a troll you know this right

Oh do shut up, your alter ego Corji posted some of this brake test/bad driving drivel just the other day.

You sprang to mind earlier I was driving up the A2 to Bangor and was passed by a real tang whip. 4 wheel Scania unit, Flaherty (?) transport I think. Black with side pipes. Looked friggin awesome. It’s been a tang spotting weekend as was down in Carlingford yesterday and saw a bunch come into a restaurant wearing Scania V8 bomber jackets
that would be the jackets only used for sunday dinners in the 4 seasons before going to walk it off with a stroll down to the marina for a bucket of beer.
you will often find them relaxing on a sunday afternoon on any of the dundalk roundabouts with a cooler box full of beer spotting the ones on the wire heading out on the early boats…kinda like going to eurostar truckfest at assen in july, but tang style…
to be honest most people are more interested in looking at my trucks name , fleet number and waving at me than brake testing me , it is one of the perks of working for this company , everyone loves us ( HGv drivers excepted )

best post ever in the entire trucknet existence…the sad part is that someone will think that its true.
What I despise the most about the scum, is the fact they prevent me having the easiest life possible.
I don’t want to be hugging someone’s arse in 5pm traffic, but out of sheer principal I’m not letting anyone get in front of me when they’ve been in a right turn only lane for the past 400 yards . These type are the worst of the worst , clearly of the opinion that they are more important than any of us.

I agree this sometimes does happen (but these vehicles are not brake checking you, are they?) but I think you know that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about blatant tailgaiting which I see far more of than the scenario you give. Trouble these days is very few will ease off or slow down. Just read the previous post.
It’s a sad reflection on today’s so called professional driver when you see the replies on here and it is no wonder we are more and more despised as the years roll by.
Anyone on here that posts something the average truck driver does not like and knows it’s wrong is called a troll.
