Do you ever see any famous people when you’re on the road?
Me,I’ve seen Frank Bruno and Prince William…being chauffered
Spoke to Jeremy Clarkson at a filling station in Thorngumbald some years back, he came across as a down to earth type of Guy.
I saw ‘Punchy Dan’ many years before he achieved World Wide fame (or is it infamy?). Met many actors and actresses in the 70’s, and stood next to Alfred Hitchcock when he was filming the lorry scene in ‘Frenzy’ near Slough, but never met any while actually driving.
Pete.
Saw Art Malik in Reading services, Charlie Dimmock in Knutsford, Clive James walking up past Smithfield, Joss Ackland asked me directions to the nearest petrol station whilst i was tipping rental cars at Victoria.
Never watched much telly and never do nowadays so wouldn’t know any current celeb from a bar of soap.
Her Maj, twice in the same week in different parts of the country, must be a dodgy character as both times she had a police ■■■■■■
BIG DADDY on the M1, he had his butties and a brew on the dashboard (he was a passenger)
Uncle Albert (Buster Merryfield), Paul Daniels, Benny (from Crossroads), Clive Mantle (from Casualty) Edwina Currie.
Seen signs, ‘mud on the road’ but they never were! Woosh, if this goes over your head you’re probably not very old.

L.A. probably - tongue firmly in cheek
I Met Adrian Street & Bad boy Bobby Barnes in The Blue Boar Services some years ago when wresting was popular on the box. Also I met Pat Roach he was staying at the Holiday Inn at Seaton Burn which is next door to the garage where I operated from, Regards Larry.

Stephen Fry. A couple of times actually.

I might have filled up next to him at Swanwick Services a few weeks back (he was on pump 9 pulling an Unzi or summut trailer). Not sure if it was him or one of his minions, but there were a couple of lasses hanging around outside Subway so might have been groupies.
Obviously didn’t ask him as celebs need a personal life too, but I nearly asked the cashier for a copy of his fuel receipt as a momento.
Beyond that, many many moons ago got to serve the Top Gear film crew but not presenters at Tebay services (ok, a long time prior to driving). Always the bridesmaid when it comes to celebs it seems (unless it really was Mr Dan)…
Got cut up once by Prince Charles going round Parliament Square in London,
Royally ■■■■■■ is the correct term I believe

I was overtaken on the M1 by Chris Eubanks.

Saw dozy cooking a steak on a throw-away bbq thing in a layby late one Friday night. But apart from that, no.
