Saw dozy cooking a steak on a throw-away bbq thing in a layby late one Friday night. But apart from that, no.
Christ is dozy going upmarket?
Ginsters won’t be happy.

I saw ‘Punchy Dan’ many years before he achieved World Wide fame (or is it infamy?).I might have filled up next to him at Swanwick Services a few weeks back (he was on pump 9 pulling an Unzi or summut trailer). Not sure if it was him or one of his minions, but there were a couple of lasses hanging around outside Subway so might have been groupies.
Obviously didn’t ask him as celebs need a personal life too, but I nearly asked the cashier for a copy of his fuel receipt as a momento.
Beyond that, many many moons ago got to serve the Top Gear film crew but not presenters at Tebay services (ok, a long time prior to driving). Always the bridesmaid when it comes to celebs it seems (unless it really was Mr Dan)…
Don’t be shy trev, Dan is very approachable and would willingly have given you the genuine receipt instead of a mere copy. He isn’t too proud to have prevented you from paying it for him either, you only had to offer!
I almost forgot: I met Anneka Rice when she was filming Treasure Hunt at a Donkey sanctuary near Buxton in the 90’s. We took several loads of limestone there from Ballidon quarry.
Pete.
Biily Connolly at Ipswich docks i called out to him he came over shook my hand but said nothing! Almost had a head on with Paul Heiney , his face was a picture.

I reckon Bill is in the top 5 people I would love to meet, he comes across as a mega rich guy, but one who has never forgotten his roots.
Not on the road, but I once met Bobby Robson, who was a top man and an absolute gentleman in every sense of the word, not to mention a true legend.
He made my little boy’s day,.and made time to speak to him, while wearing his Newcastle Utd shirt…my boy not Bobby btw.
Had a delivery for a “Mr Littlefield” at a house in Sussex a few years back. Couldn’t get up the driveway so walked up the way. The lady of the house drove down, in her Mini, on the school run. Mrs Linda McCartney was very nice, but didn’t offer me a cup of tea. She didn’t say “we’ve had bigger than that in here, mate” neither.
The Queen and Phil the Greek travelling under police ■■■■■■ on The Embankment a few years ago.
Roy Walker from Catchphrase coming out of the flash car dealers in Manchester. Couldn’t resist it, shouted across the street “Its a good car, Roy, but its not the right one!” He looked at me, laughed and shouted back “Good answer, son!”

Not me sorry I don’t fill up there but the night man does every night before joining the motorway
Waiting to load on an Industrial estate in Merton years ago.
Stood at the snack van waiting for a sausage sarnie and a tea, Kevin Lloyd came up and ordered the same, stood talking to him for 10 mins or so, really nice down to earth guy, unfortunately he turned to alcoholism and died because of it.
For any of you too young to remember him, he played Tosh Lines in the Bill and the studios were on the estate.

And he was driving a Truck. [emoji4]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Used to see Kevin regularly around Ashbourne where he lived, he was from Duffield originally. Of course his brother Terry was a war reporter and was killed during an attack in 2003 in the first Gulf War so the family lost two sons.
Roy Wood (The Move and Wizzard etc) lives in a former public house on the main A515 at Cubley between Ashbourne and Sudbury and I used to see him either walking around Ashbourne wearing his red tinted specs or driving his Range Rover.

Princess Anne at the rnli Weymouth, Prince Charles in his rangey over Berkshire way, and best of all i was fortunate to meet with Switchlogic at an RHA seminar in Bristol, only Jennifer Aniston to go and lifes a goodun
All sorts over the years but some favourites are:
Dermot Mernaghan at Julie’s Pantry corley services, looking confused. Car not seen but he had a handler steering him toward the menu.
Kelly Windsor from Emmerdale buying an audio cassette at toddington south. White range rover
Nicky ■■■■ putting petrol in his black range rover at hartshead moor eastbound. Car stacked with boxes and bags, on the move to Newcastle 2004.
Got overtaken by Paul Daniels in a red vw crafter M1 south
Sat in traffic next to Theo Pathetis in his ryman maybach central London
Honked at Katie price, pink range rover on the A556, on her phone
Shamefully omitted earlier to mention one of my all time hero’s Fred Dibnah, it was in a pub in Turton [being a good little soldier I was on Still Orange - honest] Fred was doing a grand job stopping the Guinness going off
To add to the list, I used to see Bez and Shaun Ryder regular.
Great replies,thanks
No-one owned up to seeing Carryfast driving his council dustcart yet ■■
