This is a diecast 1/50 scale that I did. Wasn’t happy with how it turned out but I suppose it’s ok from a distance.

That looks pretty neat. I couldn’t do that to be fair. I can just about paint a door.

Anyone ever made a model of a stobart stuck under a bridge? You could make the little figures standing around it. One with little hands in the air looking all annoyed (could be railways), a little driver figure sitting on grass with head in hands wearing a tiny hi viz and a nosey Parker figure pointing a tiny camera. You could use scraps of real broken bridges and feature it in the scene.

Just some ideas. Something different for you all.

Looks a nice job to me
I bought a couple to paint into my colours, but don’t have the steady enough hand to do them :frowning:

It’s not too difficult tbh. Use a good quality masking tape (Tamiya make a good one about 1/8" wide). The lettering on my diecast one is done by using waterslide decals. The bigger model I did has vinyl lettering.

I have that DAF 3600. From wsi! Need a decent looking fridge trailer for it though, what have you got behind it dude. Looks ace.

Anyone else noticed there is a lack of 70’s early 80’s trucks on the market.

yep i collect too, got about 60 in pickfords livery, and aload of different hauliers in corgi classics as well as brewery, a couple of heavy haulage stuff A.L.E. Wynns… also collect models of ford capris… sad i know but someone has to like them…

used to get a few of ebay when it first started up, at good prices but too many dealers on there now, though i used to buy from another auction and sell on ebay myself, die cast/ model railway and britains stuff…, used to use vectis auctions, not sure if they still going but they specialised in toys/models, used to buy job lots and then split them keep what i wanted and sell the rest on… made a bit of money from it as well as enhancing my own collection and enjoyed doing it,

Vectis is still going strong, i regularly place bids with them vectis.co.uk/Page/Index.aspx

I used to collect Corgi 1:50 scale trucks, have about 100, mainly from toy fairs and Jumblies models, the dates of toy fairs are normally in Diecast Collector mag, but I’ve filled 3 large purpose built cabinets and have ran out of room, also gone into pond fish (3 ponds) and skiing on dry slope, but still have a look at the latest models, try SP Models at Snetterton (A11) Norfolk if you are in that area.
