This little baby sits on top of my monitor :smiley:Got lots more i will dig them out and send more pics

Okay then i’ll own up as well, i’ve got a growing collection which my 3 year old son keeps taking an interest in, so i end up having to buy him some as well

BAXTER BOY:
Some awesome models so far keep em coming chaps. :grimacing: Steady I am over in Heckington mate so knew about Muntons Heavy Haulage. I know one of their old drivers Ivan Ashton does the name ring a bell.

No i don’t know him but when i speak to my dad i’ll ask him if he remembers him, does he know alan dunmore or derek maplethorpe?

I have that DAF 3600. From wsi! Need a decent looking fridge trailer for it though, what have you got behind it dude. Looks ace.

Anyone else noticed there is a lack of 70’s early 80’s trucks on the market.

It’s corgi’s trevor pye’s fridge the fifth wheel won’t fit but a bit of alteration soon makes it look ok

here is my collection 107 of them some code 3 but mostly corgi modern have just added mcfarlanes of leeds and carters of woodbridge to the collection

i like your shelves, but i haven’t any room for anything like that, i use the conservatory window sill, much to the wife’s annoyance

I used to collect Corgi 1:50 tippers, old and new (mostly old) but the limited range they produce now are really expensive and seem to be all Northern companies. Surprise surprise, pride of place goes to a Smiths Mickey Mouse 8wheeler in a display case
Corgi focus on 1:76 models now (as Hornby own them) so they suit collectors and model railway enthusiasts. I’ve got a railway in loft but it’s a time consuming, expensive hobby. Not into the club scene though…been to a few model shows and all you get are fat smelly anoraks who complain that “that loco wasn’t built until 1950…”

There are some lovely pics here.

I see you have a TTX truck in your collection ?
I dont think you can buy those anymore, they only made 1000 of them,
they are now very sort after.

one im making at the mo in 1/24 scale.

started off like this.

Dont forget you guys keep all the boxes and limited edition certificates. As when you all get old and decrepid they will be worth a hell of alot more.
I bet you none have you have got a 1.50th S&J Pierce globetrotter with box trailer.

I will ask him when I see him but I seem to remember when me and him were on Bentons he mentioned the names when we used to talk about the old days . :sunglasses:

Once again many many thanks for your posts so far its good to see what you have all got on your shelves.
Some really nice models are being shown and its really nice to see them. I notice some models that you have to build and some stunning work on display so far. Please keep posting I am loving this thread. :grimacing:
I agree Corgi are expensive and Ebay is not the best place to buy but if you know of any good suppliers that are reasonable please post up any details and links.
I would like a Shirleys Tanker but too expensive on the Bay for me also after a few tippers but again they are making too much money on Ebay.
Keep em coming everyone lets see if we can keep this post alive and kicking. :grimacing:
