Nice models Shuggy thanks for posting pics up. Do you sell on ebay or just at the meets.? Or even privately.? Just wondered as I have bought a lot of mine on the bay and its a lotery tbh,. Would like to find a chap like yourself to buy from in the future.

Keep em coming everyone lets see if we can keep this very interesting thread alive.

Even xmas pressies of models if your lucky enough to get any. :grimacing:

Hi Baxter Boy,i used to sell on e-bay all the time but the fees they charge made me stop.I do sell privately and mostely at swapmeets. If you are looking for any particular model let me know i will see what i can do for you.The trouble with buying job lots is i only do swapmeets in scotland and i end up with English models and the scots only buy scottish hauliers. When i sell models if they have a fault i let the buyer know as i do not realy want returns.I have a few Tekno european motors as well as corgi and i have some good corgi coming.

A little christmas present to myself, picked up last week from the Drake shop in Brisbane.

Does anyone remember the Scalextric models of the Leyland T45s of the 80s? Never had one myself but I remember they were road spec with trailers, one I think had some kind of Williams F1 livery…

Collected a few Tekno and WSI diecast trucks but they release them too often so just try to get the ones that tend to sell out quick which makes them worth more  . Been making this for quite a while, just about finished it. Been years since i made one, sure they wernt as fiddly back then or is it my eyes arent what they were lol

Heres a diecast R580 i made a couple of years ago

Here is some photos from the Ardrishaig model show 2010

Both my Dad and my brother used to drive trucks (well my brother still does). Dad did until he was 68 years old, but he passed away this year aged 70 leaving a large collection of diecast models. There are lots of matchbox buses and Dinky and Corgi cars and buses but his main passion was 1:50 scale trucks (including Gescha, Tekno, Conrad, etc).

I remember playing with these two as a kid. The Scammell was a rare Co-0p promotional model - it just came in the cardboard box, not in the typical Corgi box with cellophane or anything:

Dad also commissioned some hand built models in maroon and grey livery and there are some terrific models there:

The above and loads more are currently up for auction on Toymart (the hand built truck auction has it’s own special tab). I’ve kept some items back as keepsakes but simply don’t have room for everything else and really want them to go to someone who shares a passion or just wants a keepsake of a truck they used to drive.

There are also a handful of hand built cars. I love this one. You just wouldn’t believe how heavy it is in the hand:

Hope you like them all as much as I do.
