Is there a decent truck wash along the M4 or M5? I got Swansea Monday and then to Lichfield and the truck is minging. I want a jet wash really with real people going over it not the automatic crap.
The only one I know of is in Avonmouth, but its a brush washer and the last time I used it (4-5 years ago) it was £16 a go.
I think Wrings transport wash trucks. Have a look on their website.

Avonmouth truck stop they can wash using jet wash or brushes
Yup, I sometimes pull in there to just have the unit done - they do a good job.
Ok cheers fellas.
There is one at the BP on the A33 just before the M4 at j11, coming from Basingstoke.
Is there not a directory of truckwashes? Perhaps we should start one.
I’m leaving Guildford at 3am so I doubt anywhere will be open actually. I might have to get one around Brum somewhere later in the day.
That’s a good idea Harry.
If you come off at J12 on the M5 theres an Esso garage on the First roundabout you come to (less than half a mile from the Mway). There’s a Jetwash there with enough room to do your truck in about six 2 minute washes, would cost around 12 quid and you would need to move the truck a few times (and turn it around once) to get it done. Or you could probably do the unit for around four quid (theres an area just outside the Mcdonalds next door that you could drop the trailer) . Depends on how fast you work

Seems like an awful lot of work, plus I don’t want to get back into my office with wet shoes and then have to put them back on again after I’ve shunted the unit
Can I ask you what made you pick your name? I’m a bit of a fan of the Big Bang theory on E4 and there was an episode on there the other day with reference to Shrodingers cat, I had never herd of it before and I thought they mustn’t be on about that bloke from truck net so I done a bit of research on it when I was bored
Avonmouth Truckstop will wash yuor truck on first come first served basis or ask Sid who has a truck wash in the MAN dealers next door, he’s good and would sort you out if he has time because he normally books work in.

It’s a bit off route though isn’t it, I’ll be going northbound once I’m out of Wales. I’m going to have to find one around brum I think.

Yeah, no way man my gaffer would go mental.
Luckily im back at base most nights where i have access to a soap and hot power washer, brushes and sponges and bucket, also have a drive through,i prefer to do the unit by hand myself, far easier to get in round the tanks and steps etc,the drive through is ok for a rinse or a wash of a trailer.
if your going to lichfield after then come up the 42 off at j9 take first exit off roundabout 1 mile down on left hand side victor valet top job. they do most of the petrol tankers from kingsbury , loads of room.

Not only that surely from Swansea to Litchfield you’d go via the Heads of the Valley road and M52 etc etc.
