I remember them but never drove one.

Kettlewell of Melmerby ran them as did P&O Roadtankers

top photos mate. newsome from wardle had a nice was on the show .havent seen it for a while.

Hiya sparky13" ooowa that DAF has stired up a rift between mates. Geoff sold that motor to a chap who kept going on about buying
it so Geoff sold it saying if it came up for sale he wanted it back. the next thing to happen was the Smith bros(very nice chaps) told
Geoff they had got hold of a DAF spacer Geoff asked the reg and found out it was his old DAF he then saw blue and was not very happy
about his motor not coming home. the DAF is now repainted and put back to new by the Smith bros in their green and red livery.
and it looks stuning

your right boris Coopers of Bollington (now Winsford) had some they had the same colour interior as the 95s and not the usual DAF brown seats and door cards.
John

here is a couple of them

My other half is looking for a Daf 2800 / 3300 / 3600 to buy if anyone knows where there is one please leave me a message. Any condition considered and he can collect.

Great topic on big DAFS,
My first encounter with the mighty Daf 3300 was when i worked for AML Transport of Leicester. C574 KCA was driven by John Marriott, and when he took a couple of weeks off on holiday my roadtrain was in the garage so i was given the Daf for a week. Superb for room compared to the roadtrain, 16 speed , electric clutch and would do 75 no problem, the only picture i have of it is blighted by roadtrains but what the hell… :smiling_imp:

And this is a picture of an owner driver who used to sub for Syms of Calne.

HELLO ALL

HI THERE BORIS, yes I do remember the 3200 Daf-a friend of mine drove for Murfitts of Whittlesea mainly on runs to Italy. I distinctly remember it being on a ‘J’ plate so that would put your era of '90/'91 perfect. Sadly no pics though. Keep on Keeping on…

Hello there everyone, I hope you’re all well. Here’s a pic of some JWQ 3300s from my era of driving mine-B997 EDP. I have great memories of driving this old girl, I always found her reliable and only called “Daf Aid” out twice-a blue air line (remember them??) ripped off and I had grit in my fuel line. On the occaisions Daf Aid were called out I recall them being totally efficient and quick.
Ref the Headlight cover these two Jwq dafs had loaded out of Hull en-route for JCB, Hook Hants. The one on the left is a left ■■■■■■ and the same era and spec as the blue one posted by tetragaz but alot more off the peg (no big fuel tanks etc) I remember the Fuller box as opposed to the ZF Ecosplits we had in the r.h.d. version, we had one of these lefties at the Reading depot but quite a few at Sheerness

nice white in the background . :sunglasses:

Hello everyone I’ve manged to find some more 3300 pics, mostly from my old firm Jwq but the last two pics are of a Sayers transport of Newbury Daf (They mostly ran Scanias but this was a rare interloper). Although the last pic is of a 2100 with a pod type sleeper on top-which leads me onto a question - do you remember the era of the sleeper pods? I distinctly remember foreigners (mainly Dutch I think) with twin steer 33/3600s with pods on and very close coupled 45ft trailers, does this ring any bells with you?? Anyway I hope you enjoy the pics !!

Hiya…terry…theres a brit european top sleeper DAF with a( IICR) powder tank on a site. a pal of mine had a top sleeper 2800
plain white he run out of Chatam. I had 2 ridged 4 wheeler vans on Coopers of bollington they must of run 15 at one time

this was mine i later had E726WFM that was the same spec
