Leyland600:
I recall a a commercial vehicle salesman of well known Sandbach products doing a runner with the takings of the Kendal Steam Gathering about 1976 or so.
Did they ever catch him ■■?
Cheers Leyland 600
Never heard that one before L600 ! Cheers Dennis.
Aaawwww, Dennis ! We were all waiting for you to name & shame the barsteward.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.
Don’t implicate me in this “box of tricks” CWM,I only dealt with decent vehicle sales outlets,I wouldn’t know who it was,nor do I wish to! Sounds like it is an individual who liked dealing with small operators to me !! Cheers Dennis.
The June edition of Heritage Commercial has a great article on ■■■■■■■■ vehicle restorer Bob Parker. Bob’s vehicles are not the concourse show motors often seen, they are hard worked, run of the mill, ex military lorries usually resurrected from near destruction. It’s a great story.
