After a very wet winter, itll take a hot summer to dry the "gear" before it can be smoked ! :arrow_right: The best place for that is to the

Rhubarb Wine
Not a bad idea CWM marra
Are you and Bewick going to be the tasters then
I’ll put you both down for first batch tasters

Kindest regards

hiya,
Rhubarb wine when well produced is capable of blowing ones socks off.
thanks harry, long retired.
Hi " C.G. " ,
Thanks for the offer to the Founders Reserve
tasting of your home-brew Rhubarb Wine.
I would decline the offer though, as your area is too close to the radioactive fall out
from Sellafield.
One glass of that concoction,…and I`d be luminious/delirious, - or both.

Cheers, ( hic !!.. burrrrp !! ), cattle wagon man.

Hello CWM
Your welcome marra.
Don’t worry, somehow I can’t see my Rhubarb wine going into production any time soon

Where exactly does this ‘fall out’ from Sellafield end out of interest
Is Carlisle in the fall out zone
I now await the decline in offer from Mr Bewick
Surely, Bewick would love to take the offer up
Kindest regards

Some Armstrong of Longtown tackle on the move. So come on you ■■■■■■■■ fullas get pictures posted and less arguing about rhubarb an wine OKAY. Eddie.
Hi Eddie,
Nice to see your excellent photo’s of some of Armstrong’s fleet. They have a nice looking fleet. We see some of theirs down this way.I have seen them picking up barley bulls from the farm near where I live.
Cheers Dave.
Hello Dave. Aye they get all over the 143 was taken at Lairg sheep sales one of the Armstrong family moved up there and handled the work up that end for a while. When I was on distance I have seen them in Devon. As you say a nice fleet and well looked after I like their Renaults. Don’t tell anybody but I don’t like them Scanny things well over rated in my opinion. Eddie.
Hi Eddie,
There are a lot of firms buying Renault Premiums, they are a lot cheaper than most of the other makes available.I read somewhere that they have a new model imminent t,that will replace the Magnum and the Premium.
The only drawback is that a lot of firms don’t paint wagons anymore because of costs.I will soon be white lorry man.
Cheers Dave.
Q. What can carry 900 legs when its
legless` ?
A. This livestock container , when placed on a wagon flat.
( 225 sheep, @ 4 legs each ).
Photographed in Wm. Armstrong`s yard , Longtown, last year.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Hello Eddie
Excellent photos marra.
That photo of the Foden Alpha in the Gretna livery must be a good few years old as I know they don’t run that one anymore.
Armstrong`s now only have one Foden Alpha tractor unit, and have recently sold on all the Foden Alpha rigids they had
Sorry for any arguments about the wine project!
Kindest regards
