Hello
Can anyone help. I was kindly send a email by a Trucknet member the other night regarding some infomation about Robsons of Carlisle.
As I was about the read the email, my computer stupidly desided to log me out of my email provider. When I managed to get back into the emails, I discovered that around 25 of my 50 emails where missing, including the Robsons email. After checking the rubbish box and the spam box, in case they where there, I soon discovered that they had gone for good.
So. Please, who ever sent the email about Robsons, could they Please send it again so that I can read it. I would be very grateful.
Kindest Regards

EDDIE STOBART FAN:

Stanfield:
Lets get back to normal on this thread before it go’es down a few pages

Hi Stanfield these lot started naming their lorries with a “BORDER” prefix after Edward started naming his! They were a much smaller and less successful outfit then Stobbies in those days.

I put these photos on here so that you could all discuss amongst yourselves the many facets of the modern day Stobart Group and how they have shaped the haulage industry not just in ■■■■■■■ but in the whole of Europe.

ESF your well out of touch, old man ROBSON was naming his motors long before Edward Stobart would be born.
As for the comment about Stobart SHAPING the industry that should read RAPEING the industry look at the number of
good small hauliers that went to the wall due to Stobart’s cut throat operation. Eddie.

Hmm! seems to have gone quiet on the stupid statement front doesn’t it? Of course ESF could be looking for more evidence that he is right
and everyone else who contributes to this thread is wrong. After all Eddie was a god and any other ■■■■■■■■ haulier was a mere mortal.
Regards kevmac47.

 the who did what thread could go on forever, because some people werent around when it was haulage and storage, roping and sheeting, phoning around for digs no msa,s , and lets face it (proper driving), they can only compare it to what they see now, logistics tautliners ratchet straps, and planners, its all worlds apart, i travelled with my old man a day to get to the tip, hours waiting to tip, handball it off, race to a layby with a phone ring around for anything north-ish load up then a day back again, in todays world a six hour trip should take five or your planner will ring for a progress report, tip, call planner on cabphone, bang postcode into sat nav, load up and back, and if its a decent wagon or (truck is the modern word ) you wont even have a clutch, :open_mouth: never mine double clutch,
the two worlds are just so far apart, i,m not even gonna get into for better or worse factor :unamused:
