One of Ruddicks parked in our yard for a number of years. Up until about 1989. The driver lived at Wrekenton. In fact I got a lend of said vehicle one Bank holiday when I was moving house. Odd times the fitter would come over from Carlisle to do repairs and he borrowed our transmission jack a couple of times to pull the gearbox out. He was always by himself so I usually gave a hand with anything heavy. Tyneside.

Not Iggesund, they’re haulage is between Stobarts and Thompsons from what I see, as well as some loggers of their own

Which delicate soul exactly is offended …name them , and why do you give a ■■■■ anyway.
Not being funny mate but maybe you are a bit too sensitive, and shouldn’t let all this crap bother you so much, and just crack on with your photos

I see a lot of Thompsons always assumed they are a Jenkinsons sub contractor?
Nope entirely separate concern
As happysack Said, Thompsons are a big operation these days, seem to work in many different fields.

They seem to have a few walking floors etc hence I thought that they hauled for Jenkinsons, who have a virtual monopoly in this area. I have been told that Lawsons of Cockermouth have a walking floor that hauls for Jenkinsons.

Jenks were working with Stobarts on the W-F work, although I’m not 100% if they still are, Happysack probably can give more info.
There’s a few doing little bits on Walking floors, plenty of work going on as there’s a lot of logging in the lakes and a lot of chip to talk away as a result.
