Little haha, cheers for the Green Armstrong’s motors I asked for.
I’ve asked before on here for a pic of P.A.Morgan’s Magirus Deutz (YHH ****T as far as I remember) the artic that I first drove.
Or even. Tony’s (P.A.) Ford D series 4 wheeler with the home made sleeper (was it ex.Bewicks Dennis, I remember he bought it in the county and it coming red and white)or any of Fraser’s Silloth rigids. Cheers.
Very sorry “robroy” but when I sold my D1000 in 1971 it went south to “cockney land” ( for decent money) when I handed it over it was “purring like a cat” as it had been for me during the time I ran it,it never missed a beat and I looked after it like a “cake and an egg” when I saw it again a few months later it had a bad engine miss and had been bumped and scraped all over, bloody criminal !!But I’d been paid for it so it didn’t matter,I was only a little bit peeved as it had been my first new motor, after that I didn’t give “toss” as once the gear had been sold and paid for the buyers could set it on fire for all I was bothered. That said it still was unbelievable that anyone could pay good money for a nicely maintained and driven motor then abuse it ! Thats life I suppose!! Anyway “robroy” I will wish you a Happy and healthy 2015,Cheers Dennis.

Anyone know what the score is with Brown’s of Carlisle these days? I thought they’d gone pop and ATL mopped up the bits, but I still see a lot of their trailers in Nestle and even an 09 Merc unit one day
Browns never went pop just packed the haulage side in.still run 2units a iveco and the merc you have seen do all the storage for nestles at dalston

Yeh, know what you mean about a first new motor.
I didn’t mean Tony’s could have been that one specifically, and realize now it couldn’t have been as it was around 76ish when he got it, and not 71 when you sold yours.
Just remember the colours being same as yours, and thought it could have been a one that belonged to you.
Cheers Dennis, and a Happy new year to you too.

Seriously we’re all here as we share a common interest in ■■■■■■■■ haulage, past and present, and the bickering is nothing short of a school playground! Surely there’s some common ground we can all find? ■■■■■■■■ Gill’s likes and interests may differ slightly from some others but he’s shown a lot of interest in the history of haulage which is something a lot of his age have sweet [zb] all interest in, and it’s the likes of himself who are going to keep it alive for the next generation. We should be helping, not berating him for it.
Rant over. Merry Christmas and a happy new year all,

Hello Everyone
Thankyou to everyone who agreed with this post and have given me support
But after taking advice and reading comments, the people who think I’m a “twonk” are right after the way I behaved towards Mr Bewick and others one Trucknet
I should not have jumped on the band wagon regarding nelly’s post regarding Bewick I should have stayed clear as all its shown me to be is some young a******
I would like to publicly apologise to Mr Bewick and others who my behaviour was unacceptable and it should not have happened so sorry Bewick and everyone I didn’t want to upset/hurt anyone
I don’t mean any harm, I’m just a passionate about my wagons and ■■■■■■■■ haulage firms, I don’t wish to upset, come over as a know it all (as I’m not if I knew everything I wouldn’t read every comment on here to gain information), hurt or put peoples backs up
For those of you who have met me and who watch my trucknet activities, i’ll let you make your own mind up about me. Yes I’m young but I will admit I’m not perfect and my behaviour towards you’s all on trucknet at times has not been very nice and it disgusts me looking back now how I’ve behaved so please accept my applogises
Nobody believed my bullying that I publicly came onto trucknet to talk about, it was ture, it did happen and I should not have come back onto Trucknet after it was resolved

Hi CG, I was reading through your very adult acceptance of your shortcomings on Tnet, with I may add admiration(previously lost) for your apologies to those you have rubbed the wrong way, that is until your last couple of lines ,you would do yourself a big favour by editing out the last paragraph. Not too many of the youth today have the avid interest in lorries/trucks/wagons that you show. I wish I had done would you do with a camera some 60 odd years ago, (not forgetting the detail that accompanies your photos), From an old man to a young lad… never say die, plod on regardless and keep posting pictures that’s what we want to see.
Oily
A diversion, hopefully welcome, two ■■■■■■■ pics the first one, the village of Brigham and Gwyn Lishman reckons the driver of the lorry was a chap by the name of Bill Bell, does that ring anything wi anybody
