I got my cpc certificate from grandfarther rights but I’ve lost my certificate. Is the anyway I can get a replacement certificate?
I surrended my o licince aprox 7 years ago as I went on to other things but I want to give my son the opportunity to start up and he’s not yet gained his cpc so I’d be his nominated TM until then.
It was issued by the Royal Society of Arts. The exam was supposedly an “A” level standard qualification. Maybe if you contacted them they could help. thersa.org/contact
Still got both my certificates somewhere in a file box. Only ever needed show them once though.
Or… you could try a phone call to TC HQ in Leeds, (Tel: 0300 123 9000) because they’ll possibly have a record of the nominated TM on your now defunct previous ‘O’ licence.
I hope one of the above gives you at least a starting point.

Hi bullitt,
This one’s a bit trickier than normal… the OP mentioned that he’d got his CPC by grandfather rights.
The blue one… before any exams.
My guess is that the good people in Leeds might be able to help.

My gut feeling tells me that you can only replace a CPC certificate that you got by passing some exams, either RSA or OCR.
TBH, I can’t remember who issued the blue Grandfather certificates, but you might be able to enquire there, or to whoever has replaced them.
When I was TM for a company, my CPC had to be sent to the TAO to be copied, hence my best guess is that you contact the Leeds TC’s HQ cos they’ve probably got a copy of your certificate on file.
They may even be able to give you advice on how to get a ‘proper’ replacement.

So you think the is a possibility I won’t be able to get a replacement certificate whicn obviously means I can’t go as TM on my sons opertors licence.
He’s only looking at getting a Tipper for a aggregate company and only a one man band with one truck. What do TM charge these days for one man band business?

About £250 to £300 a month seems to be about the going rate.
