hiya,
Thought of staying close to the coast and using my sat-nav.
thanks harry, long retired.
We might run aground like that Italian bloke and his ship Harry. Then again,as I can’t swim it might be safer.
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Wasn’t he showing off to a pretty lady passenger Dave, well you can rule that out
there’ll be no shenanagins aboard my ship, I’ll do any shenanagin that needs doing
in the privacy of my own cabin and only when we drop anchor, shenanagin along
with skippering don’t mix so we might be at anchor for a large part of the cruise.
thanks harry, long retired.
I reckon you don’t want any publicity about your winnings Norm.I don’t blame you,all those begging letters etc.
Cheers Dave.

thanks harry, long retired.

hiya,
The only dealings I have with financial people is when I’m
repaying them what I owe them.
thanks harry, long retired.
hiya,
Done a lot of work both into (scrap) and out of (products) to Stewarts and Lloyds
as a lad Norm the only thing carrying the S&L name now is the Corby Bowling Club
get yourself over there Norm you might just be able to show them how to go on.
thanks harry, long retired.
hiya,
Nine pounds fifty pence you could just about buy Corby with that princely sum Norm.
thanks harry, long retired.
Dave the Renegade:
Norman Ingram:
Harry I don’t think I want to buy it, even if it has improved since I was there! when I came out of the army I done a short spell on Corona, taking pop to the houses, and one holiday period, I had to do Corby as a replacement driver, nearly every other house on the council estates wanted bottles of pop, but had no money but was willing to do a trade for it! But being young, I told them I had enough girl friends and so they went without pop. Just think I could have ended poor and a total wreck.
There could be a lot of Ingram’s living in Corby.
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
There’ll be sure to be Dave, if you ever visit Corby just look around
for young fellah’s walking about wearing a white bowling cap and
carrying a bottle of Irn Brew, that’ll likely be one of our Normans.
thanks harry, long retired.

Never been to Corby Harry.Came close to going at one time when my then boss was thinking of hauling slag from there.
The caps wouldn’t have kept white for long in those days.
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Been there lots Dave when Stewart & Lloyds were in evidence
overnighted a couple of times, even the kids who had obviously
been born there spoke with a Scottish/Glaswegian accent the
Scots certainly took over that little part of England a bit like
Blackpool for a couple of weeks in the Summer, it did make
for lively pubs though, “happy days and nights”.
thanks harry, long retired.
The nearest I have been to Corby is seeing the sign off the A14.That’s about as near as I will get to it I would think.
Cheers Dave.

Aye,Stewart and Lloyds and Lancashire Steel before it was BSC Harry,Little Scotland. I used to backload out of both places as well as the coking ovens, and very often out of BRS Corby yard.
