Im back on it. Where can i get a straight A.M. box, the original ones from years back. The multi standards are crap, just a good 40 channel A.M. box like what the folks from across the water use.
I still have one for when I’m on site but could be a good idea instead of phones as long as people don’t clog the airways chatting ■■■■■

Rubbish. The frequency stability is better and the transmit and receive is as good if not better. They can all hear down to at least -120dBm which is below the noise floor of anywhere on planet earth.

Sorry you’re wrong! Using a hand held mic is not illegal unless it causes you to drive dangerously, then you could be open to careless, dangerous, etc.

40 channel basic does the damage whether your on a.m. for the boat traffic,or fm for the rest of you…ive 1 of these wrapped up in the cupboard at home which apparantly is the dogs doodaahs.its meant to get everything from smokey and the bandit to lancaster bombers coming back from berlin.(no doubt conor will be along to tell me how wrong i am with that),unused for a few years,but the most satisfying use ever for it,is in the knowledge that theres not 1 toy aeroplane flying,anorak trainspotter ,out on a sunday with his fellow fannies playing with their planes is safe from it…its always so satisfying watching some herberts lifetime of solitude and self abuse go flying off into the sunset till its out of range or alternatively doing a stuka type kamizazi dive straight into the ground…either way the result is the same…if anyones feeling frivolous with a cpl hundred quid by all means gives a shout…banzaiiiiiiiiiii…

Looks the business. With a hundred watt burner on the back you wouldn’t be limited to bringing down model planes, you’ll be downing Jumbos.
What’s the law on CBs? Has it ever changed from AM legal in Eu but illegal in UK, and FM good in the UK not in Eu?

im sure am is illegal in uk ,fm is ok everywhere though theres different frequencies for the uk/euro…am still be ok for the boat traffic,other than that,ive no idea…its vever been looked at any time im stopped etc…i wonder when some bright spark,will make a mobile phone that you can control from something that looks like a cb mike…

Now that is a bloody silly comment…a model aircraft going out of control thanks to plonkers like you could do an immense amount to cars, property, people, etc. I fly rc helicopters…at a cost of in excess of £3000+. If you brought that down due to your childish behaviour, I would be coming looking for you.
