Came across your pic of your dad & mine, Frank Richmond was his name, worked at Cawthorns in the 60/70/80’s - I also remember your dad George often round our house at Grindon, great bloke as was the rest of the fellas who used to gather at the Barley Mow Club?
Larry Re Harry Humphrey from the C&S photo. His wife (Winnie) worked full time in our office for about 15 years in the 60’s / 70’s. I know they were both still around and into their 90’s up till about 3 years ago.
Well that’s nice to hear Perhaps someone on here could be able to show him these photos, There was a Harry Humphrey worked for Jakey Adams at one time I wonder if its the same bloke, Regards Larry.
My sister worked at C&S 70’s /80’s ( was still there when Bill Mustard took over ) Harry was still there then, well after retiring age. Think he used to be yard man and looked after/repaired tarp sheets, chains & warwicks etc.

I wonder if any of Cawthorn & Sinclairs drivers remember the two 8 wheeler ERF tankers they ran in Procter & Gambles livery powered by RR Petrol Injection Engines , Also a fellow called Bob English who I believe was in the traffic office at this time, Regards Larry.
