Car you miss most

easy job. I don’t think I intended for them to do it. But I think I think they offered it and I thought ■■■■ it why not… Not sure it was £20 though.

I know this is a car thread but thought I’d sneak in a cheeky bike pic, I actually miss this more than I do the red car.

2011 Honda Fireblade in WSBK Castrol Honda livery. Must have done about 20 trackdays in total, some on this bike and others mostly on my first bike GSXR 750 K7.

Sold this Honda ten years ago when I met my now wife, felt super sad to see it being ridden away :frowning:

^^ Nice bike mate.
Castrol liveries looked smart as. I’ll try dig out some photos of mine

Here’s my Missus trying to persuade the Yank to sell it to me

‘American fella’?

Do you mean Colin Edwards, 2-time World Superbike Champ and Ex-Motogp rider…that American fella?

Yeah that’s the fella, amazingly he’d never heard of Southern Comfort, but was very impressively a fan of Newcastle Brown Ale. Lots were drunk together over the following years

You an ex-racer or something? Trying to wrap my head around having a racing legend as a drinking buddy :open_mouth:

Lol yeah. I raced for a bit and then worked as an instructor for Hottrax on their European track days and did a bit for Ron at Donington for a while.

Now I drive a truck

Mate I’m well impressed. Sort of puts my recreational trackday use to shame lol!

Now that is a cool story, nice one mate.
When where you at Ron Haslam? Did a couple of his days at Donnington about 12/13 years back. Really enjoyed them?

I’m drooling over this

In hindsight I would take this SP1 over my 2011 Blade all day!

Was a stunning bike mate but far outweighed my capability lol. Was a pig to ride at slower speeds. Probably gone up a few quid in value now.

Bike I miss the most was my Duke. Joys of living at home with Mum when I could afford things

Was took at TT in unusually good weather lol

I used to have these, the CBR was in grey/charcoal colours, the RZ I imported from Fort Lauderdale:

But I always pined for a Yamaha FZR 1000 or a 750.
Or a rocket ship the Suzuki RD 500.
