Car you miss most

I had this Scimitar for 10 yrs, I wish I still had it, Larry.

Regularly see a black one around Hedge end in daily use and it ain’t no show pony either

Anyone still have a cassette player in their car? Don’t know if it works as I’ve no tapes anymore.

I bet we’ve cassettes in our attic , mrs still has my girls cot , pushchair etc and she’s 32 now

Yes I do in my Rover 75 and it has Atomic: The Very Best Of Blondie in it at the moment.

Old school rules haha. Good choice.

I had a mint showroom condition Ford Granada 2.8 Ghia in the mid 1980’s, It got stolen overnight from a locked compound at the TDG depot on Holden rd Leigh with two other drivers cars behind mine which were broken into & pushed out of the way to nick mine :smiling_imp: We were away tramping all week so each driver locked their cars & we left the keys in the transport office so they could get out.
Never heard from it again, Same as this picture from online.

Those cars the Professionals used to drive - Bodie and Doyle - forget the names of em now…

That would be a MK 2 Ford ■■■■■■ RS2000, I had one of them, absolutely loved that car until it was stolen

Did Bodie & Doyle not drive Capris??

If I remember rightly Bodie had the RS2000 and Doyle had the Capri

This was my mk1 306 DTurbo I took this when she was 21 years old I wish I still had her

I had a 306 diesel for years, it would fly and so reliable.

Miss my Rover Montego G reg also my Rover 600 T reg. I do not miss my MGZT 54 Reg it was to unreliable
thanks to the BMW diesel engine the rest of the car was fine.

Fiat 128 3P

My first car when I passed my test as my brother had just bought a 2.0 petrol 405 and have me the 3P.
More of a baby blue kind of colour with some of the black stripe decals left on one side only. Desperately needed a lick of paint to tidy it up but always started on the choke every morning without fail. It had some engine work done to it though not the standard 1300 engine in those. It was a rocket at the time tbh. And would now be worth a fair whack of money done up.

The ZT was a great car, I had a ZTT on a 54 plate. But yes most of its common problems were related to the BMW M47R engine, oh and the chocolate slave cylinders in the getrag manual gearbox variants.

In the earlier series, one of them drove a dolly sprint.

I do not really miss any vehicle because the roads have gotten so bad and congested that I would not enjoy driving anything…

that being said. In my 20s I have a thing for buying a weird car almost yearly lol.

I had a Ford Transit with a Cosworth Engine and stainless steel pipe… Man, that was loud and fast… it looked like an old builders van (smiley transit). It was fun lol.
I had an Austin Allegro about 5 years ago not such which year… but the mirrors were on the bonnet. The alternator blew up when halfords put a battery in it lol so I sold it…

I also had a 2.5L v6 BMW e36… that was a ■■■■■■■ nice car. I do miss that a lot… but fuel economy was like 30MPG so would not get another.

30mpg is reasonable lol

well my current bike does about 180mpg. :grimacing:
yea it struggles past 50mph… yea, I get wet…
but I save a lot of money. lol.

You paid Halfords £20 to fit a battery in an Austin Allegro? No wonder you can’t afford to run a car.

Limited edition Clio 182 trophy. Got the car almost from new in '06 before some prick wrote it off for me by hitting me head-on in '07.

2.0L engine in a car that was 1090kg - handling and braking was delicious.

I immediately got a Mk1 Focus RS afterwards but it wasn’t as good to drive

Looks smart in red that. :sunglasses:

Is it an easy job?
