Me,few weeks ago coming out of cat Southampton! Even managed to show a bit of chrome on the top deck slide, and just on 16’,and room for another car, still cant help thinking the load builder should try it sometimes !!!

Its no problem Jakey, its a Lohr EHR 300,very stable, actually has a stabaliser system between prime mover and trailer works very well, the trailer also has sensors, which will brake on only one side when it senses too much of a lean.
Glad to hear that buddy , how long have you been on transporters? ,was you on the Bmw Mini contract a couple of years back ? , bloody hell did those boys go on that job .
This is a photo of the stabilizer system on the Lohr ,you can see the semi circle ring with the clamp on the a-frame,which comprises two ferodo pads top and bottom.
As far as mini,s go Jakey, yes I used to go into Oxford a lot doing either export or domestic, loading 11 at a time, the TE +11 could put 12 on,and when ontime had the export contract they could get 13 on.

Hi glenny54, nice one , Southampton Docks with a load of Renaults, that would have been me 50 years ago tho’ the vans would have been Fourgons and the odd Estafette, the Renault cars of my time were Dauphine, Renault4, Renault8 (both rear engine) and the Renault16 which was ahead of it time with a hatchback, the one thing I remember about Renault of that time was you daren’t lean too heavy on them
, even shutting the bonnet could bend the thin gauge metal panels, seat belts were optional and came in separate packs one for each car and handed over with the paperwork which surprisingly did not have any mention of the seat belts, so there was a wee bit o’ a market for them, tho’ I didn’t get involved
but hey great times and looking back, the one in my life I would love to do again.
Oily

We used to load Renaults out of Southampton around the same time the compound was next to the dry dock which was interesting when they had one of the Queens in.
Thanks Glenny 54 , with the picture of the stabilers. Are you out all week then ? or a day trunker ?
