hello glenny

thats some load on that carlson motor is that multi drop or do they go to the same dealer, i just sold one of them navaras the thing weighed about 3ton.

regards mark

its usually some d******d siting on his arse in an office that builds the load, that dos’nt give a toss on how many drops is on it.A good transporter driver will know how to load it Mark, but a big percentage of drivers would have wanted a car taken off that load.

Hi lads, there is 2 drops on that which is beta than normal 4 me on a monday, its normally 5/6.Peter the navara is 15’6" and the trailer is 15’11" nd it rides ok with a heavy 1 bhind the cab.As 4 Mr Carr u must b slowing down as well cause ur not far bhind me lol

The name dosn’t ring a bell but the trailer is a Carrimore tri-decker

Hello Transporter man, yes knew it was a Carrimore, the one trailer I’ve not seen on here yet, is the Walker Tri-deck, we had 3 at Autocar, biggest pile of… I ever used, Billy Walkers we use to call um.

We avoided the Walkers you right in what you say about them, MCD had a number of them. I think Geoff Fielding had some involvement with them, he used to question why we were buying Hoynors at the time. I know of two that the pillars fell off on the road with a load on.

Hello Transporter Man, on the Chris Hodge site there a cracking picture of a AEC drawbar with Carrimore bodywork, it’s one of Masterways, I think from Coventry in the 50’s as It was always parked on Frenchies cafe on the old London rd, now the thing about it is the bodywork on the lorry lowers as well as the trailer very unusual for that time period , I would say Carriemore MK1’s

Hi Dieseldogsix Could not find it my brousing is not up to much

Dieseldogsix great site good pics of coventry thanks for that

Having posted this earlier, quite by chance I came across another pic this time of the loading end and it would seem there is some sort of slideout extension.

If i had stayed with CARRS UK when they took over GandS I would have got a trailer similar to this one. the extensions are for loading low slung sports cars like ferraris and astons these and vintage cars are the main loads on this type of trailer
