Now going back a bit again, Carfax Transporters, same load going around for photo shoots. I remember them but can’t think where they were based.

Could be Bicester or Brackley I think I can remember seeing them from the road near a railway bridge
Carfax were based at Brackley, a small yard, good bunch of drivers, I’m scratching my head, trying to think of Dave? who took over at Milton Keynes for Ray Smith’s latest venture late 80’s ?

unit okay but the trl is a pile of crap built up at kerrimure svt.the bloke that built them neil used to work for abbey hill started out on his own and built 4 van carriers for silverarrow didnt last long though
Oiltreader im pretty sure this is the same truck, There was old boy driving it (owner driver) i think, he was working out of qek (keddy,s) at upper heyford at the same time i was on contract to them, cant remember his name and i dont know if he,s still on the go, Lightswitch may know the same guy.

Of course it is , smashing bloke, he,s got to be retired now, and that truck of his, was always kept busy, certainly seen some action that one. Good old ERF,S eh

couple of photo’s transporter eng ten car carriers when we were trunking from longbridge to portbury me and rob james used to get 12 on with the right mix

Always like the MK 4 Carrimore, could never understand why BRS Cartransport never went for them before the MK 6, maybe Transporter Man can shed a bit of light.
