IAC60, the year was 1985. These Leyland Cruisers you refer to were only for 32ton operation, and were purchased through Ford and Slater, mainly for metered deliveries with 13/15 ton tankers and cylinder deliveries. They were purchased from 1981 through to 1985, but only about thirty in total.

Thanks 5th Dragoon I knew you would know. By the way Steve B from Immingham retired today after 40 years service with Calor. I know it was you who took him on in 1972. I hope you are keeping well. Regards IAC60
Looks like my cover is blown, thanks for your interest, time slips past so quickly, I suppose getting old is easy, keeping old is the challenge, how about some more pics?

Todays three.
Three more.
Three more.
Brilliant thread 5th Dragon,
I’ve been running out of Calor Port Clarence all week this week, and speaking to a lot of the old drivers and lads in the office, they seem to stay at Calor.
There’s a lot of long termers there, and at most of the depots i go to which speaks volumes for the job.
Got to admit that i like it when i’m on the Calor job.
There’s a K reg ERF shunter at Port clarence that is still in pretty good nick, i’ve tried to get a picture of it but as you all well know, your not allowed mobile phones or cameras on site.
We have about 3/4 units run out of Stoney stanton most days.
Next time you are at Port Clarence go to the workshops and see JJ (Carter), tell him the boss says there is a photo of him on this thread, driving the Sed Atk 400 on aid relief to Romania.
