Thats right D S JOnes are relations of A L jones from Maerdy near Corwen, i have seen them years ago on Runcorn dock with slabs of aluminium . The red Davies wagons would bring timber to Shotton paper , yes those fleets below Aberystwyth are very tidy . thank you Trevor
Hello Aaron and Dave , yes Dave you are right they are from now Penygroes , on the industrial estate by the paper works , They used to have Atki 8 leggers as well
I beleive they started up in a small village at Carmel nearer to Caernarvon , in Aarons picture it is likely he would be returning from Hirwaen washery with coal , other companies like Cawleys did the same work .
Dave i have been enjoying your pictures taken on yhe A5 and A49 !!, you spend a lot of time on those roads . Aaron , THelma sends her best as well , thank you both Trevor .

KK, Hi , Im afraid i have not any pics of W G Davies , i have to say it is a fleet i am not familiar with .
As for the traffic in Chepstow they are repainting the old Wye bridge (again ) . Apparently local councillors (on the Gloucestershire side) could not agree on the shade of the correct colour .
J D Thomas Pembrokeshire A49 near Church Stretton .
