Geraint Hi , seemed to tie in with my studies at Aberystwyth, regards to Karen, cc.
I studied at Aberystwyth in 1966, mainly the female students around the town while working on a building site, and lodging there.
Cheers Dave.

A470 near Rhayader, mid Wales .Cracking pic of a much missed British lorry.
Cheers Dave.
My thoughts exactly…a grand looking machine. I always thought they were very comfortable to drive. One of those, a 290 ■■■■■■■ and a 9 speed Fuller, what more could a fella want?
And I’ll tell you this, I’ll take one of those before a modern 5/6/700hp, auto box, Euroboxes any day of the week.
best years of my life on one of those brian . 290 ■■■■■■■ , fuller 9 speed new on a v in 1979 and drove it for 7 years . the only significant downtime was when it was upgraded to 38 tons , new pump and injectors . i reckon it did one and a half million miles before it went for part ex . dave

I know I am biased cc, but some of the best photo’s can be got on the roads of Mid Wales.
Cheers Dave.
D J Davies , another immaculate fleet from west Wales and sadly no longer with us , i can remember chatting to one of their drivers and his regular work was hauling to Farleys baby stuff up in Kendal .
Today passed the former depot of D J Thomas at Llanarth , a sad looking MAN unit was still left behind , regards Keith .

Dave , Keith Hi ,the mid Wales scenery seemed to compliment the colours and presentation of many of the west Wales fleets .
D J Davies was a good example , cc on several occasions , would see them delivering to the former Ovaltine factory at Kings Langley .

Nice one cc. Another good place to capture the wagons coming up around the bridge.
Cheers Dave.
Hi Chepstowchap , my word you certainly have a comprehensive selection of west Wales hauliers …D J Thomas a very smart fleet … as Dave and KK have already said they will be sadly missed … A comrade of my father says he remembers D S Jones hauling baled scrap cans into Alcoa at Gowerton … and adds were they formally from north Wales …
D J Davies equally tidy hauling wood shavings from Llandysul and LLanybydder to Chirk , and returning with chipboard for export via Pembroke dock …you have kid helped evoke a few memories…keep all coming …Geraint .
