Hi lads, Clive went shunting in metal box Neath ,he was a good bloke who liked a laugh,

The load and the fly sheet looks to me a load of , offcuts Metal Box Aintree for Bachelers/AMG Llanelli , which i assume is now in the hands of Owens , do not think that would be an Illtyd Thomas motor . regards Keith .

There was a small haulier from said village…Unicorn transport that would haul potatoes down to south Wales on occasions ,…as well as concrete fabrications…is this company still going ? …Geraint

Hello Dave …thank you for taking the trouble to provide the pic of the Unicorn fleet …Dad says several Hereford firms hauled potatoes down this way and the vale …and the likes of hospitals in the Bridgend area …thank you Dave …Was there a firm by the name of Williams , Preston Wye ?
Hey kid …just look at those fuel prices in that super pic …!!! . By the way …will you be attendingthe Carmarthen truck show …i think July 15 …we are both going …come along with us …!!! … Geraint .

Hi Geraint,
Yes F J Williams of Preston on Wye. I haven’t got any of their pics, they ran blue wagons. Also Horace Sullivan from Hereford were potato hauliers, now long gone. Not many of the old haulage firms in Herefordshire still running. Good days with interesting wagons.
Cheers Dave.
